I tried the Covenant quest, but it bugged out. Instead of trying to fix it, I just laid the whole town to waste and took over by force. Just a side note, if you do this, you'll have to destroy the turrets.

Have you completed the main quest? Word is: the Covenant/Honest Dan bug strikes as soon as you complete the main storyline (even though you went straight for the jugular by wiping the town out
).

My first play, I didn't even start the main quest until I was super high level.
Covenant is just a mess.
The bounty hunter guy who gives the quest disappears into the ground. I pissed off the town so the morons came at me to their demise. Whole town items and turrets remain hostile so that is one buggy arse area and I'm surprised they haven't fixed that one. Especially the disappearing dude.

I don't even know what quest you guys are talking about

Have you found the Covenant settlement?
There is a quest you get there. I think someone approaches you outside the settlement.
The quest is bugged a bit or more than a bit.

I beat this earlier today. Even at the end I had no real attachment to either faction.

Agreed.. there's really not a great ending to the game. The gameplay is so much fun that it's more fun to just run around doing shite than actually playing the storyline, which is a little disappointing imo. But FO4 is still the only game I have played since I got it

Not sure about the other endings but the Institute ending was a big fetch quest it felt like.

It's not the nature of the quests that really bums me out about the endings, but the lack of any one group being a worthwhile group to support. They're basically all turds.

The Institute sends you around to talk to a lot of people so it was kind of lame after a lot of good gameplay elsewhere.

Thats why i still havent completed any quest line with any of the factions. Guess ill just have one save point and finish them all with each one

Are the Minutemen a faction? I like them.

Not sure what you need to do to activate minutemen new quests.

The disappointing endings are more obvious after I finished watching fallout 1 videos earlier. Those ending scenarios were awesome.

Yup, Fallout 1 and 2 had fantastic storylines and endings. F3 and F4 not so much. Typical Bethesda really, it's more about the exploration with weak storylines.

The ending was weak, but I didn't think the story itself was. Granted I never played 1 or 2, so I can't make the comparison, but this was the first game I ever played that actually had me sucked due in large part to the story... and the twist was pretty freaking epic, IMO.
