What do you mean by full combo?
Posted on 2/3/16 at 12:17 pm to Geebs19
I meant combat armor. So combat helmet, arms, legs and chest on top of a military fatigues.

You really don't need all the aid stuff. I keep it all and bank it so I can cook and make better chems for XP but then I just use those as currency until I have enough settlements making money for me.

I used to keep a full set up for charisma perks but I never switched before conversations so it was useless.

I keep my stimpacks, one rad x, one rad away, and some grilled ragstag. That's it.

So well on my way with my second play through and here is my tip, literally do everything you can in each faction before picking sides. You miss way too much if you don't

I found her at that Longneck Cannery and she's bugged as hell.
You pretty much have to console command any of the special merchants to get them to work at a settlement. They are all buggy as hell for the most part. The only exceptions are the Clothing lady and the vault tec rep. And even the vault tec guy is bugged in that he doesn't function as a top tier vendor, just acts like a normal vendor for the most part.
Rylee is definitely worth console commanding though, she sells a crapload of stuff.

Head scratcher.
I finally got a settlement to 100%. It is clear to me that the key is just having everyone working along with enough food, water, beds and defense.
All settlements are 80+
I have one at 42 and falling.
60 food. 30 WATER. 30 beds. 240 defense. Bar with plenty of seating around it. And...no negative talking from the settlers. I wonder if too many settlers assigned to defense can be a negative or I planted a ton of mutifruit as decor, I wonder if unassigned work items can cause negative happiness.

Started making cages out of wire fencing where I drag all the mutilated bodies after settlement attacks. Which led me to my next idea, making a huge pit filled with nothing but old world money at Jamaican Plains.

I've been working on sending every synth I find to Spectacle Island. I don't really want to develop it so I might as well make it Alcatraz. Will be interesting to see if they attack their own.

I'm to the point in the game where you have to decide to join Institute, Railroad, Brotherhood and Minutemen. Tough choice. When you join one do the others turn on you?
Posted on 2/3/16 at 10:18 pm to AUtigerNOLA
I chose Minutemen.
**spoilers**
BoS still gives me random air support, but no missions
Railroad wants nothing to do with me, and as far as I'm concerned doesn't exist.
I blew the frick out of the institute, so they no longer exist.

SPOILERS
I went with the Minutemen on my first play through, however, I did not know you could actually side with all factions up until a certain point so I missed all of the good shite.
Second play through, I decided to go with the BoS due to the air support. But I hadn't taken Preston as a follower yet and I lost that opportunity because I did not issue an evacuation notice at the Institute prior to blowing them halfway to hell. He was pissed. Despite that, you're still a Minuteman and able to do those retarded abd repetitive quests.
I'm on my third round now and since I'm basically a member of all major factions, my question is this: if I decide to go with the Minutemen and since I now have access to the Prydwyn and the Vertibird air support, will I still have that luxury seeing as how the MM and BoS never beef? If not, I'll go with the BoS again (and issue the evac notice this time) seeing as how the MM never leave your side.

I did this exact thing my first go through and yes I think you can still use them. On a side note..
I was by a house across the water from the Prydwyn and was just investigating things as normal. You could obviously see the ship not far off but no one was aroundme.
I walked into an ambush.. super mutants on one side and ghouls on another surrounding me. I was ready to put up a fight but didn't have my power armor with me at that time. I was in a heavy firefight with not one but TWO super mutants armed with miniguns cutting me to pieces. I was bout to chem myself into a super saiyan when I hear the familiar sound of rotor blades and look to see four vertibirds heading my way. I continue to fight and then see two BOS Knights in full armor airdrop on either side of me and start unloading at the super mutants with airsupport helping from above. It was a slaughter. We lost two birds and a couple knights before it was over but that shite was the coolest battle I've had in this game except for the Castle fight against the institute.
All that happened without me calling for help. it was just because I was close to the Prydwyn.

At some point, Preston and the Minutemen will attack the BoS. You will lose the BoS if you side with the Minutemen.

You need to do a few missions for everyone because that makes the wasteland seem more alive.
Once you are in the BOS, then you have roving packs of BOS walking around killing things.
Minutemen groups walking around killing things.
Railroad groups killing things.
Non-hostile synths killing things, including hostile synths.
Just makes things even more interesting in the wasteland with all of the various groups going at it all over the place.
Bunker Hill seems to be one of the pivotal moments. I don't think you can piss people off too much before that quest.
