I drop all of mine on the ground in a settlement, use a clear open space, like a concrete slab, go into workshop mode, then select to scrap each item. Some people claim you don't have to do this to get all the parts from an item, but I don't know. I tried it and when I built the items it said "telephone removed" "microscope removed" etc

I continue to explain that you don't need to do this. You don't need to scrap each item.
How many time do I have to explain that leftovers are added to the workshop.
Go to any workshop. Take ALL.
Then build something that requires an item to be scrapped.
Check your workshop. it now has items in it.
The only reason to drop and scrap is if you do it to guns to decrease your settlement space.

I was scrapping junk just for the small reduction in my settlement space bar and it was easier to tell what I had if it was listed as raw materials. Now that I've slowed down significantly in building my base since I'm running out of room, I stopped doing it. It's just too time consuming and it serves no real purpose. Once I move on to another main base, I'll probably start doing it again.

Not sure junk lowers the settlement limit. I think it needs to be guns or maybe guns drop it by a much larger amount so it is more noticeable. I've done melee weapons and it doesn't seem to budge.
I only really needed to mess with the limit size at Jamaica Plains, The Castle, The Marina and Spectacle Island. Yeah, even as big as Spectacle is, I still used up my limit.

How many missions for the Minutemen do I need to do before I get to take spectacle island? I've done a ton of them.

You don't need them. Just swim over to the island East of The Castle.

On the map, south east of the castle, there is an island.
Head there
Profit.

Was wandering the Glowing Sea last night and stumbled on 7 Charred Feral Ghouls one Legendary Glowing Charred Feral Ghoul. I got almost 3.2k XP.

Is that with sneak? ??
Na. I think there might be some scaling of monsters in the Sea so being lvl 101, I got 383 per kill.
Hmm. I think my next point will be in the perception perk that allows you to see a monsters weakness because it shows the level of the enemy too.

I think it would be cool if you could clear the entire map after finishing the main story and then transition to rebuilding the city with politics, construction, trade, etc.

So, the island is freaking sweet. Building a big ole house on the cliff overlooking the water.

I avoided joining the institute last time because I was afraid it would lock me in, can you join it like the others and still choose who to support?
Posted on 1/7/16 at 7:35 pm to DoUrden
I think up to a certain point. I went to the institute joined them. Then started doing the brotherhood of steel quests. So, yes. I've read the game tells you when you are at the point of no return.

Did you figure out how to clear the Mirelurks off of ZacAttack Island and open the workshop?

I'd pay another $30 if a DLC like that came out

Spectacle is crazy. Make sure to scrap the whole island including the tons of underwater stuff and the stuff in the shipping containers.
The breath underwater perk is good for that.

Just purchased the Overseer's Guardian and made some slight modifications.
Well worth the purchase.

I modded it and I think I lost the extra projectile perk. Is that possible?
