If there is a settlement you dont want to be bothered with, remove the settlement beacon and scrap the place. The settlers will leave of be killed by raiders.

You can also build scrap benched and put settlers to work on those. The will slowly build up resources for you. Although im not sure what the extent of those resources are.

Is it possible to tear down all the houses at sanctuary or just the ones that have fallen in?
You can only scrap what is highlighted when you're in workbench mode.

That kinda sucks. I don't want to build something nice and have it sitting next to a decaying building. It brings down the property value.

Just use the decayed buildings as well. I only built a few building for Sanctuary. An outside bath and shitter house, a building for my stores and a prefab building with a few beds. Most of my settlers sleep in the decayed ones.

They collect a good pile of junk. Very useful and you should man one in all settlements.

I used the blank slab next to the power armor station in sanctuary to build a place to store my power armor and rare finds, like anchorage veterans flag and championship bowling ball. Etc
Also magazines and bobbleheads. Basically a shrine to everything cool I've found.

Anybody know how to take over Covenant without killing everyone? Whenever I get near the front gate, I get attacked by that douche with a stick. Then the whole town comes out to kill me. The whole settlement is filled with "owned" items thereafter too.

Covenant is a mess.
I ended up killing everyone but the junk is still red owned.
Also the turrets don't help in defense.
When you add turrets, they attack the other turrets. Pretty much every time I head there, the old turrets are on fire.
Messy /buggy
Also hate how monsters killed before taking control of settlements, stay forever. That giant Mirequeen is really stinking up my settlement.
I dragged all of the bodies in Sunshine out of the build zone, then they all respawned back where they were killed.

Talk to honest Dan within the compound and start the quest.

I'll use the house I bought in Diamond City to store all that stuff when I finally get to it.

No you won't.
That is a tiny shack with no supply line.
Why use that spot?
Plus, you won't ever be there. Only time I go there is to buy aluminum from Arturo.

I experienced my first settler getting in my power armor last night. I was kind of pissed. Im thinking this is why I never have any fusion cores.
Posted on 12/22/15 at 12:53 pm to Geebs19
Ya, make sure you take out the fusion cores if you don't want people getting in. I leave one set for them to use with the other 3 core less.
NPC's shouldn't actually use any of the core once they're in it. You can also sell your cores when they're almost depleted for good caps. Helps with buying new ones if you're low on them.

Oh so once a settler gets in it, it wont deplete the fusion core? I wonder why I never have any.

yeah, someone stole my DeathClaw weapon off a shelf.
I thought it was safe in my guarded settlement. Any way to get it back?

Check all the settlers in your settlement. Then administer fiery justice.
Edit: Also check behind the shelf. Sometimes they get behind them somehow.
