Well, the Restorative Mind and Sector 618 are both fricking terrible and neither of those exotics are great, but you want them that bad I can see why some may be upset.
I started playing again last week. Been hitting up some IB this week. Preordered RoI after the stream the other day. Pretty excited.

Same. Its been fun. A lot quicker to get higher level gear, but I suck at PvP for the most part. Good thing they reward randomly. Never really played much PvP until Destiny. This week went from around 316 to 324. Other guys in the clan are excited for RoI as well.

My only complaint is that every single match has been sweaty as frick for me.
I'm typically okay at crucible, but I hate having to go try hard mode every match

I used to not PvP a lot since I played with friends who are terrible at it.
The SBMM has made it impossible for me to play with them in IB. I typically am like a 1.5 KD per game in IB, but if I bring my 3-4 friends we lose by 3-4K in clash.
It's not that bad when I play alone with other relatively skilled players. It's nice to not have to carry the team, which is something I can very rarley do.
But especially now, most of the player base is the hardcore players. That definitely makes it more difficult.

I wouldn't say that the payer base is full of hardcore players as much as the game has made its way back to the middle from year one. They've minimized the skill gap way too much.

I mean I'm not the most skilled player but I've had fun playing IB this week. Moved my KD ratio to around the 1.4 range after getting used to some of the maps. To me it seems the reward system is random so doesn't really matter if you win or lose. I'm still able to complete bounties they have so that is good to me. Don't really have that many complaints as some of you but I'm sure y'all have been playing longer than me.

I'm literally 1.00 on all three characters. Cannot seem to get any higher.
ETA: anyone know if engrams collected before RoI then decrypted after the release will have the chance to decrypt into new gear?
