Well those people can eat a bag of dicks. I broke down a Patience and Time yesterday and an Ice Breaker the day before. Both of which would have given me Exotic shards if I had done them today after the update. It is what it is and I'll survive and eventually fully upgrade my remaining exotics as time goes on.
I'll still have fun farming materials (as much fun as one can have running around in circles for hours) because I'm also doing chest runs, patrol missions and glimmer farming.

Yep. Purchased the expansion pass. The new raid will also be accessible immediately upon launch of the Dark Below DLC.

My Irl buddies I raided with were 28s and 30s.
Both were super happy for me which was nice not feeling like an a-hole for getting the lucky roles

I've watched a couple full raid videos and it's always funny to hear other guys yell "Aw frick you!" or "Lucky fricking a-hole" when someone gets something good.

God damn son. That's a fricking haul. So far on this run on Hard on my second character I've gotten shards, energy that I can't use on my exotics anymore and my fourth fricking pair of gauntlets for a titan.
On my other titan I got plan c, two raid helmets (totaling 3 all together) and the time breaker sparrow. fricking love my Plan C. In hindsight, I'm glad I got another raid helmet so I can use my two armamentariums on each of my 30 Titans.

Yeah, his haul is like hitting the powerball on normal mode... So, I'd suggest you temper your expectations. But hey, doesn't hurt to dream big but don't set your expectations too high. That's the best single VOG haul I've seen (regardless of difficulty).

Oh I'm fully expecting nothing but shards and energy.
ETA: Just got a legendary primary engram as a reward for completing the daily on level 26 with one of my other characters. I don't know if that's related to the patch, but I've never had that happen and I've done probably 100 daily missions.
Also, just starting the weekly on level 26 with my third character. Anyone feel free to join.
