Dregs is easy. If you're not getting auto summoned as AF, just kill his faithful deacons. Start at Pontiff bonfire, take elevator up, go slaughter the deacons there on that ledge. They have a pretty decent drop rate, so it shouldn't take long. I only farmed 10 for the sorcery.

For the shackles, I'm going to try to find someone on r/pumparum to farm with me just killing eachother until we get our 30, for the last stupid shitty pyromancy that doesn't even do anything.

After than its the all NG+ and NG++ rings run.

I can see why Gwyn told him to frick off. His health pool in the second phase just doesn't seem balanced.

Shiiiit. I loved that you resorted to arrows at the end. frick close combat once you've got him down that far!

Also what armor were you wearing?

BTW, I still haven't beaten him solo. I tried several times, got impatient and summoned help. Even then it took several tries. I'm not looking forward to the NG++ version of him.

I honestly probably could have beaten him, I got taken to the woodshed early in the fight, but I had him kinda figured out in the end... but I wasn't about to take that chance when I saw the opportunity. He's awful, but at least I was taking almost no damage from the dragon fight by the end, so the NG+ games should go a little smoother.

For this fight I went through every piece of armor and found the most lightning resist I could find. Typically I just wear whatever looks cool, but that just wasn't a possibility on this fight.

yeah, I have never co-op'd in a bloodsouls game (I will co-op with other to help them, just not for myself), so that's just kinda not an option. But even if I had never done it in the past... this was definitely one of those fights where I could see the normal person going on and doing it... it's almost not worth it. I'm not even happy for the win, and that's really sad.

This one, and the ancient dragon on DS2. I was never able to kill that dragon. I'll eventually give it another go.

Ancient Dragon was so much better than Nameless King - you could force him into a pattern, similar to other Souls bosses, just on a much bigger scale since he was so big.

This is basically what I do:

Here

You have to force him to do his fire breath, and you just run in and hit him a few times: then run back out, rinse, repeat.

You can get him into a loop if you alternate hitting between his back feet - hit the left side and wait for the stomp and do the other. The only thing you have to watch out for is fire breath between his legs. He's been nerfed since the game came out.

Scholar was all about turning up the difficulty, yet I felt like he was easier... Guess I know why now

So....im hollowed af. Ive got the five dark sigils from yoel, and seem to have done all i can do in the undead settlement,

Ive read i can cure my hollow, but fear spoilers. Does the velka statue do this for me without screwing up the yoel questline?

You can use purging stones if you don't want to look like a burnt hotdog, but you can't have the firekeeper cure them or you frick the questline.
