After you beat Soul of cinder. If you've done the fire keeper side quest, a phantom summon sign will appear - it's the dark ending. After the boss fight, copy to a usb - get one ending, copy it back and repeat. Are you doing the usurper ending as well?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but after careful consideration... I think I'm going to make one now, right before the Prince fight. That way after seeing all of the endings I can go back and find any items I missed before going into ng+

Your first instinct is to be passive and dodge his bullshite magic, but you just have to be aggressive and take your lumps. Save for the Abyss Watchers and the Twin Princes (which still has camera problems), the Cinder bosses are garbage.

they really missed an opportunity with Yhorm. should've had you fight him like normal, get his health all the way down, then it refills and he has some protection that makes you do shite damage. cut to Siegward finding 2 storm rulers, then you both frick him up. would've been a perfect small touch calling back to Demon's

Yeah, I just don't get it. I can see the devs smiling to themselves and thinking 'the fans are really going to love this.' He was basically the face of the Lords of Cinder, has his own statue that you can buy for $400 and the fight consists of you chain-stunning him with a bit of fan service. It seems like it should have been on a grander scale, more like Tower Knight or something.
*The whole thing with Yhorm is weird - I thought it was pretty obvious from the opening cinematic that it's a DS2 giant (even has the same cry), but he has a human-like face in the game. Makes me wonder if they just slapped a face on him somewhere in development.

Pontiff Sulvayhn was a bitch to beat. I want to get the dark pyromancy spells but the pyro guy in the shrine says they are too evil for him to teach me. Who the hell do I give the grave warden tome to? I want to learn the black fireballs.

I thought Pontiff Sulyvahn was way harder than Aldrich. Beat Aldrich on my 2nd attempt.
The camera for boss fights is terrible. Several of my deaths against the Dancer alone were because the camera messed me up.
Did not know that Siegmier had a cutscene for the Yhorm fight. Will definitely be using a guide on NG+ so I can do all the NPC quests. I screwed up every single one on this first playthrough.

I can't beat the nameless king second phase after multiple attempts. Should I use a shield or not? I don't have the strength to yield the majority of the great shields by the way. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Do covenant materials carry over to NG+? Want to make sure I'm not farming these pale tongues for nothing since I used rosaria's soul for a spell

Yes. Also, you can still level up Rosaria's fingers even if she's dead.

You can respec too. You can do everything you could do even with her dead. You may have to walk around the front of the alter to get the option, because so many assholes put messages all over the fricking ground next to it.

I started farming for Farron last night... this is going to be a very long, a drawn out event
P.S: I stopped just before the Prince fight and went back and found all the rings, bonfires, etc. - I don't know when I'm going to ever beat this game
P.S.S: I'm farming all items in PvE

covetous gold serpent
run out, pop a coin. take out the 2 blades of dark moon. run up the road and slaughter everything. get to the end, pop another coin, slay all the ghru in the grass to the side of the road. run past bonfire and kill the 3 sleeping ghru
got all the pale tongues and swordgrass i needed in ~2 hours
