First playthrough that area, after every turn: where the frick is the bonfire?

Yep! By the time I got to the last dual wielding guy, no estus, no health, no arrows. NO CHANCE!

Level just seems long, long, long! I was thinking "there has to be a bonfire around here somewhere!"

Yes, yes it is. I'm really trying to replace it, but haven't found anything that's better for my build. I'm level 30 something and still upgrading and using it.

Sharp Uchi +5 right now.

I just made it to Farron Keep, fricking poison swamp. I extinguished two lanterns. There is stuff way out in the poison I want to go for but I end up getting owned by some weird bug thing with huge eyes

So the bonfire path from the chapel, through the Cathedral of the Deep, back to the chapel?

Yea...frick that level!!

Immortal undead, thieves, fire arrows, fire kamikazes, skinny bridges, and those fast assholes dual wielding some type of curved blade.

Rage Quit [Activated] Inactive

The Cathedral has been my favorite level yet. I loved how it was so expansive and wrapped back around on itself. At points you even go out on balconies and you can see the bridge where you fight the Stray Demon waaaay off in the distance. This game has something huge that DS2 never had... a huge, expansive world, that feels connected. I loved seeing the bridge off in the distance knowing I could follow some really really long paths and get to that, over the mountains and through the woo :cough: swamp from hell

This. I am really loving it more and more. It is not on Bloodbornes level with me yet but it is getting there.

Yeah well this wonderful and expansive world is confusing me. I found the smith and upgrade lady and the only path I can find now is locked and requires that 20k key that I don't plan on buying any time soon. Where to now!?"

The bonfire, man. Sit down at the bonfire. It is your way to travel to other areas. You'll start at the high wall being the only option. Go finish that level (and die many times most likely) and you'll gain access to other levels. All accessible via the Shrine Bonfire once you reach them.

Click "leave". Your options will show up.

ETA: Talk to your firekeeper (lady in the shrine) first.

I've completed the game this past weekend. I will hold off on my full thoughts to allow others to catch up.

There is one particular boss fight that I would just like to say can go frick itself, eat shite, and die.

I didn't think Farron was that bad, then again my frame of reference was Blightown which is a nightmare.

didnt like farron as much as blighttown. dragged on too long and those jumping goat fricks were annoying. blighttown is still my favorite swamp level of the series

Is this game like the rest in that you can only co-op with people at a similar level as yourself?

Blighttown is not so bad. I'm so used to taking the master key short cut to farm large titanite down there, it's pretty much a breeze. I thought Valley of Defilement was worse in terms of difficulty.

Farron Keep is just really easy to get lost in. I just haven't memorized it yet. That, and the goddamn giant tree things. Easily my least favorite enemy in the game right now. Make the big crabs seem like a cake walk.

Really? I have no problem with those trees. I haven't tried a crab at all though.

Don't feel bad man. It was intuitive for me either. I was like, "I put the sword in the bonfire, now what?"

Once you get the feel for things it gets better though. For those of us not as experienced in the DS game style, there are extra little learning curves scattered throughout.

Zombie said the same thing... I am not looking forward to this. I really really hope whatever boss this is, doesn't ruin the game for me
