seconded. But it really helps to strategize equipment with your teammates. One of us always has a munitions box.

Played dmz earlier for the first time. It's awful and boring af

you have to do your faction missions to make it worthwhile. lots of XP to be gained.

i want to know how he played. probably just ran around, looted some stuff, killed some AI, either died or maybe extracted.
it's an "XP Farm" if you play it right.
people say they want a marketplace similar to Tarkov, but there just isn't enough variance to the loot like Tarkov.
Tarkov has like 20 different bullet types associated to one caliber alone. not to mention the different types of magazines that only work with a specific weapon platform. different levels of medkits. a dozen different backpack sizes. a dozen different armor types. armored helmets. then you have all the different attachments that need specific mounts to work with specific weapons. you also have to consider broken bones, energy levels, and hydration levels while playing Tarkov. do people really want to incorporate all of that into an arcade style extraction mode?

I do agree that after a few times the DMZ is a snooze fest. I see zero reason to play it.

Did you do the faction missions?
Some of them are hard as shite to do without a squad. It’s a nice change of pace if you want to take a break from normal MP and/or WZ.
I’m not numb to how slow it can be though. Especially if you’re not running into real players. But the point of DMZ is that it’s a live arena with real players and enemy AI with built in missions and contracts. It’s not about being the last to survive and rushing folks to kill them and steal their loot (although you can certainly play that way if you want). It’s about surviving with your loot and gaining XP via missions and contracts.
Think of it as an open sandbox coop mode with high risk of losing everything you have. That’s all it is.

I want remedial class Tarkov.

well, it is in "beta", whatever that means coming from Raven Software. hopefully they do make come changes that make the QoL better. but in it's current form, i'm enjoying it.

i haven't played BR in a while, but for those of you that are good-great at it, do you usually get 30k XP? this was in DMZ mode.

if y'all need the dead drop dumpster locations...

Posted on 11/30/22 at 3:20 pm to finchmeister08
Noob question Finch...what are the dead drop dumpsters for or what do they do?
Posted on 11/30/22 at 3:33 pm to finchmeister08
I am addicted to DMZ. I started it as a change of pace to Warzone 2...DMZ is much more casual, and I've become addicted to doing the missions.

to my understanding, it's just a spot to drop cash and valuable items like gaming consoles, laptops, vintage wine, etc. if you were to die and not extract, the cash value of everything you put into the dumpster will still count to your overall XP at the end of the match.
if it was still on your person, you wouldn't get anything.
it's not to be left in one match and you come back to it in another match. it's not intended to work that way.
cash is your main XP outside of missions. it also helps lower the timer on your insured weapons that you've lost. i believe $80k will wipe out the 2 hour timer if you're able to extract with it or drop it off in a dumpster.
