I like not having to swing to break candles with the Spiked Armor.

I have been doing that. Crafting the armor and weapons is the hardest part.

Picked this game up Friday and beat it Sunday after reading this thread. Game kicks arse. I feel like the last boss was the only real skill check in the game though and the combat was relatively easy overall. Still enjoyed the hell out of it regardless.

Maybe I was overleveled, but I thought the last boss was a joke. The only bosses I died to were Zangetsu, Bloodless, and doppelgänger, but even those were a joke once you figured out the strat. The bosses were the least challenging part of the game, I think I died more to traps

I downloaded curse of the moon too, $10 companion game that’s much more retro. Lot of fun. Beat it in a few hours

I think I'm on to the Gebel fight, finally. I only get an hour or so I can devote to this each week.

Yea, Baal was simple.

The hardest boss was the first Zangetsu fight. I died multiple times to him.

After that, I pretty much survived every fight without issue.

I focused hard on leveling and increasing shard ranks though.

Plus you can carry a shite ton of potions for all the fights so even if you suck you can still outlast bosses. I didn’t spend too much time on crafting going into the final boss though and it took me a while to figure out how useful the directed shield shard was for that fight.

NG+ with eternal blue right now and think I took down the first boss in less than 10 hits.

Whoa. What would make you say “better”?

SOtN is top 10 for me; I even liked the dialogue. You miserable pile of secrets.
