I beat Valac the 2-headed dragon boss last night and thankfully the silver bromide chest at the base of the right tower wasn't bugged. I got Curse of the Moon on Switch and haven't beaten the train boss, but it was fun to see the big boss fight on PS4 hold true to the 8-bit version.

I think this is one of those games that like 5-10 years from now a remaster is gonna make it look like a fricking jewel.

God this game needs it but it’s really fun. I’m hooked as hell.

I'd love to see SOTN done verbatim with this graphics set. I know that's functionally what Bloodstained is, but it would be nice to get a proper Castlevania game done like this.

I wish Igarishi all the best for a sequel. Taking Konami's ball and going home with it to beat them at their own game is pretty badass.

I'm curious if I've over-leveled as I was grinding to beat Zangetsu early on. I just beat the dragon at the top of the steam punk library to love on to the next section, and each of the bosses I've fought since Zangetsu I've either killed on the first or second encounter.

Does anyone have a favorite familiar? I find myself using Bloodbringer or the fairy more than anything.

I beat it Wednesday night. I’m looking forward to them patching in some new playable characters. Zangetsu run sounds like fun.

I may consider playing through again with some different weapon loadouts beforehand. This was a pretty solid game.

I've found myself gunning most of the bosses down, even though I don't use a gun through any of the rest of the game. Having directional magic, but not directional gunfire is a huge mistake, IMO.

I used greatswords and heavy clubs/halberds most of the time.

My primary towards the end was a fully upgraded deathbringer. Once I found a ring that scaled damage based on map exploration percentage (98% for me), it was game over for all the hidden bosses and the final boss.

I've been all swords, all the time, and still prefer to travel with the Rhava Bural (mini Chrissaegrim) sword that drops from the Killer Barbers. It lets you swing while moving.

I grinded the knights to get the Spiral Sword early on, and then got the Rhava to drop on my 2nd Killer Barber. I got the Encrypted Orchid with the one 8-bit coin after I broke down the Ambivalence whip.

I actually created an account on their official forums to get access to their feature recommendation form to suggest being able to aim the guns.

Bloodless is pretty much the hardest boss in the game given the area of the game and the level you’re at.

I have it on Switch and still haven't opened it yet. I wonder if they ever will fix it enough to be worth it on Switch.

Yeah, I'm going to finish exploring the zone and level up a bit, I think. I still haven't found the warp portal in that zone yet, so there's plenty of exploring to do.

Fun Tip: The Carabosse familiar will point out hidden walls/floors/etc. aka the Imp from SOTN.

Beat the shite out of Bloodless earlier. Now I’m down in this underwater cave after sucking the blood out of that fountain. Hanging it up for the night

Finally beat that bitch today at lunch, after not playing for a week. I hate that I had to wrap it up right after I saved it.
