I didn't buy the Elite and I know this is likely better, but I don't see the point in it because with 5 downloads coming, I'm not sure I will be playing this game for another year or so (maybe but who knows) so I am just going to buy the downloads as they come out.

I don't know if I even care about double xp at this point. I'm a colonel and all my class weapons are unlocked. I don't really care what level colonel I am.

Does it count for weapon xp as well? I could go to town unlocking attachments if that's the case.

on a side note, I'm trying for the premium recon assignment at the moment and I'm being reminded why I never use bolt action snipers. I'm terrible with these damn things. L96 is the bane of my existence.

Makes sense. But on the other hand, BLOPS 2 and Crysis 3 will have to be pretty badass to get me to quit playing BF3.

Crysis 3 I will have no doubt. But it will prob be a change of pace from BF, not vice versa. That's pretty much what COD has turned in to for me. A change of pace.

Also, Premium is a on time charge as opposed to yearly fee, correct? Will Premium carry over to a new BF if they release one?

I agree, but with Halo 4 coming out and Rainbow 6, I will be putting time in on those so I am going to play it by ear right now.

I'm thinking so, but like you, not 100% sure

No idea. I would think you would have to buy a new "Premium" to help support the new game and all the maps and guns it would have but who knows.

I'm 99.9% sure that this is a one time fee. Consider it like a season pass that other games have implemented. Only reason I picked it up is because I'm fairly certain I'll be playing this for another year off and on and I'd rather shave off a few bucks instead of shelling out full price for every DLC installment. Now watch the next three expansions suck arse.

It's not a subscription based thing, because they don't put out a Battlefield game every year like clockwork.... yet.

Yea I think MJ an I are just curious as to "if" they brought another one out like say BF4, would they have their own version of the Premium or would this carry over. I'm thinking it probably wouldn't

Only this was successful from day one....

I doubt it. I can't see them doing everything else as well as they have with this game and then crapping the bed on DLC. I'd be shocked if they aren't as good or better than the CQ maps

Yeah, I wasn't sure if they would make a new one or continue to tweak this one. Really they just keep putting out DLC and I'd be fine. Hell...COD could have done that honestly.

doubtful. if so, it'll wind up being another $50 to "reenlist" or whatever.

I don't expect handouts from EA owned companies.

ETA: I'm anxious about armored kill maps on xbox. Biggest battlefield maps ever with a limited amount of players? I hope it doesn't result in running for a mile to find the first available enemy.

That wouldn't make sense for EA. I don't know how they're making money of BF3 Premium TBH...that's a lot of stuff we are getting for $50.

I don't have any of the new maps on there right now, only ones from Karkand. Everyone should be able to get on the server.

Thats my thinking too. I hope they can up the amount of players for those maps or give us a shite ton of vehicles. I saw a video of armored kill on youtube and I saw jets, attack helis, and little birds so I think they are just putting in a lot of vehicles.
