So after beating the combat challenges with both Batman and Robin yesterday, I thought to myself, "maybe I have actually figured out this whole combat thing and I was just being goofy in AA" so I pop the AA disk into my box.. after 20 minutes I couldn't take it anymore. AC does EVERYTHING so much better it seriously made AA almost unplayable.. and I've gotta admit, that's pretty impressive.

P.S: I couldn't even get 3 stars on the 2nd combat challenge in AA.. this game is just so much better.

ETA: Finch thank you for the NOS heads up, just got the code. Also: Robin is pimp, the dude is so much fun to fight with, he's no batman with the damage he does and the ability to pull out freakin huge chains.. but his move / skill set is INCREDIBLY fun.

Well the big thing with these combat challenges is that they reward you for "keeping it going" instead of for variation.. In a hand to hand fight, using gadgets to "keep" the fight going is the only thing that should matter, making sure you use them should not. With these combat challenges they throw a bunch of different NPCs at you and make you survive, I like that a lot more than methodically trying to make sure I have used every single gadget and special move in each round to even get remotely close to the top score.. just wasn't fun.

this is where the story takes off, if you don't want to rush through the game, i would reccomend sitting on this for awhile and doing the sidequests.


I have like 40 more trophies to get before i get my hands on the riddler, I've completed 5 death mazes and rescued all but one of the hostages

two face wasn't really a villian in this game, the penguin was so fricking great despite some reviews pointing to drake's performance as a negative...I loved the ruthless take on the character and was far more interesting than anything they could've done with two face, who was pretty much the same character from the comics and BTAS

so yeah, I can't wait to get home and try out the Batman beyond suit! woohoo !!

You do have to sign up, but NOS is a coca-cola company, so it's not as bad as it seems.

ETA: You can also opt out of getting "updates" from them, but the email is how they distribute the prizes, so you have to give them that for that reason.
