"Now in development." So no idea and probably not close to a release.

we know they've been working on an invisible game for a long time - So I'm expecting sooner rather than later... I just think they knew if they showed too much it would completely overshadow anything else

PRIME 4 BITCHES!!!!!!!

And Pokemon RPG are huge announcements, bot both clearly 2018...or later.

Reconfirm Xenoblade for 2017 is awesome news. Rocket League...

But I was partially right, they reconfirmed Kingdom battle and announced a Kirby game.

Prime 4 makes up for it.

I think we can easily crown Nintendo the winner now?

That's a neat gimmick to base the game on. Little more hyped for it now.

If only I could find a damn Switch...

that Kirby game looks like it's going back to the Gameboy roots though... which means I'm somewhat interested

It looks great. But like I said earlier - When people are clamoring for Metroids, F-Zeros, AC's, etc...... we get Kirby. And Metroid I guess.

Without Metroid and Pokemon that would be a bad pres really.

sounds like Nintendo has "won". But to play devil's advocate, they released a console 3 months ago, with like 4 games. So any announcement related to games on their brand new console would be good.

with that said, this Nintendo e3 lineup looks strong enough to carry the console for a bit

I hate the whole "who won e3 thing." It's just good to be excited.

I just like Nintendo's approach. I feel like Sony and MS's presentation are:

"Here is your future and/or grim-dark and/or genre open world setting with robot/zombie/easily categorized enemy and you win the game by running/flying/acrobatiking around to beat them with cut-scenes/combos/neat visuals. You also get one cool thing like Spider-Man/Rocket Packs/Android capabilities. And lots of QTE's and Videos!"

I mean the games are pretty and look ok, but eh. To each his own.

So from this discussion it really sounds like the Switch is easy to develop on. "We would just come up with ideas and put them in the game and walk around and look at them to see if we liked it" - the casual way he said that just screams "This is super easy to work on"

I hope that's true, cause that could be huge for 3rd parties

Zelda launched with their console. Mario comes in November...in between there is a solid flow of games coming out including splatoon 2

Metroid 4 announced and I would put my money on 2018, but ok maybe 2019

so early in the life cycle of the switch...Mario, Zelda, Kirby and Metroid...Nintendo is killing it

And would explain why Fifa actually seems to be a decent effort. EA is a main perpetrator of "lazy development," and apparently the Fifa engine is custom built. Not Frostbite and not Ignition.

That is two huge announcements for the Switch. I am surprised with the Pokemon announcement. I did not think game freak wanted to do that yet.

Both of these games seem to be a long way out by pure guess though. Probably 2019.

Are we discussing Treehouse in here, or do we want a separate thread...

Just saw Mario become Bullet Bill....oh yes.

Odyssey is looking so super smooth.

all of this is true, but also add "with VR support coming soon" and "paid mods for a 3+ year old game"

Metroid Prime 3 has already been in development for 3 years. I expect it to be Holiday of 2018.
