Not sure if discussed but you can now enable gsync on your freesync monitor.
I used it on my Alienware 240hz and it worked nicely.

Input laaahhhhhggggggg
I'm intrigued to get a freesync monitor to try it out. It would be awesome for single player or causal multiplayer games
Do you have to reboot or anything to turn freesync on or off

No noticeable lag from I can tell.
Just go into Nvidia control panel and you should see the g sync option. The monitor then restarts and that's it

Yes they are. Just some pass their testing to be equal in performance to the g sync enabled

This is Nvidia supporting freesync/adapative sync which is part of the VESA spec. It's not true Gsync which requires hardware on the monitor and gpu to support.

Nope, it's been super smooth for me. Once you do the setup, you just turn it on and off in NVidia control panel, just like G-SYNC. It's been pretty great.

It seems like most of them are working, according to Reddit. I've set mine up and walked someone else through it and their's worked too.
