Nvidia 1080 & 1070

Come on guys! Where's the excitement. Can't wait to see some real reviews for this one.
At the event last night, they claimed it consumes less power while at the same time having more power than 2 980s.
Price point will be the same as the 980 on release.
The 1070 will be more powerful than a Titan at the price point of a 970 on release.

I'll wait for reviews before I get too excited.
Time to start saving some cash for this one.

If I make an upgrade it will be next spring so I have time

What are you coming from?
Not sure you understand scaling. nVidia didn't speak in full truths several times last night.
This is not a good thing. The GP204-400 should be set around $459-$499. It is the mid-range chip for Pascal. The whole 2xfaster than TITAN X's GM200-400 really was something shtty.
Compute and Graphics performance are not the same thing. Maxwell had Compute performance slashed to fit in nVidia's TDP envelope. We are just seeing it added back this generation.
EDT: I was EXCITE during the keynote, until everyone started reading into the numbers. It is the exact chip we thought they were going to release.

I did say I would wait for reviews to get excited.
Debbie downer.
You sound like an AMD fan...
Did I do that right?

Just pissed at nVidia for saying stupid shtt on stage. I'm always pumped for new Architecture but tired of paying premiums on the mid-range chips for that architecture.
It will be a great upgrade for anyone coming from GM204-XXX and especially Kepler. Both excited and nauseated in the same breath.

Sub $400 is a nice entry price.

It's making my 770 feel very inadequate

I'm never giving nvidia a fricking dime

I have a 280 and been using it heavily since 2009. Don't think they'll make something that strong and resilient ever again.

Because they intentionally gimp Amd

Will still give them my money, they have the superior product.

It's not superior to the extent they charge. Not to mention I greatly disagree with the game works program. Will continue to be a loyal amd customer

I don't agree with it. I'm not supporting nVidia but my gaming experience. Gameworks sucks but it does offer awesome quality settings and anti-aliasing solutions which are better than AMD's offerings. Yes the price is disgusting but AMD took some bets with Bulldozer in their struggle with Intel and lost. This then took money away from R&D and some of their foundries. AMD put their self in this situation and are just now starting to close the gap with Fiji.
Don't solely blame nVidia for this situation. Capitalism works this way, they are being rewarded for focused strategy while AMD had 4yrs of discourse.

My only real complaint with Gameworks is the intentional frickery that makes older cards incompatible. Older cards should be able to work. . .but no, they add unnecessary settings and issues to force older cards to not run the game.
That is some shady shite for the consumer. . .but brilliant for the company.
