XCloud is on its way for dominance in cloud streaming. How long until we find those 1st party Sony exclusives on XCloud?
I still think we are a generation away from Cloud Streaming being actually comparable performance-wise.
I tried the remote gaming method on my PS4 Pro to play PS5 and even over a LAN network it still has noteable lag and a big downgrade in picture quality. If it doesn't work on my home network I would hate to rely on it for gaming all the time no matter how fast the XCloud servers are. Without Fiber access I just don't see how it could possibly compare

pay $35 a month on it (if that is something you can do, and I would hope we all could) and invest the $500 you would have spent.
I would hope we all could be in a place where we don’t have to weight decisions such as paying $35 a month for an Xbox or just spending the $500 up front.
That we could just get the console stress free.

None of this makes sense as a response to my post.

I don't see it ever be truly comparable. Both home consoles and cloud will always progress as far as processing power.
The fact is streaming gaming will always be streaming gaming.
There will always be input lag and there will always be compression that has to happen that you just won't see on a native console

It’s simple. I hope we can all have these things apply to our lives.
“Hey I’m in a financial situation that allows me to simply buy a console and not have to waste valuable time deciding if I want to finance it or not.”
Or
“If I just finance the Xbox...I’m going to spend that $500 at the casino or Top golf the following weekend. Maybe both and not be worried about it.”
Or
“ Money isn’t a problem “

No one ever said anything about "needing" to finance an XBox. Neither of your comments make any sense in response to my post.

You have suggested it as an option.
I’m saying I wish everyone was at a comfortable place in which they can just buy the console outright.
So it does make sense.

Azure 2013 vs. Azure 2020 is such a different animal as well. I do not know who here actually work in the IT field, but the acceleration of cloud in Azure and AWS is staggering. It would be openworld on a another level.
Have a professional certification for AWS and slowly working on one for Azure. MSFT is poaching engineers from everywhere in order to bolster their Azure offering and it is working.
