If tweet fails to load, click here. Meanwhile, I'm trying desperately not to die of radiation poisoning on my first planet in my New Game file on the Switch 2.

I have never played NMS.
May have to get it.

It really is an interesting experience. The game was super bare-bones when it came out, and dude caught unbelievable amounts of flak for the game not living up to the hype upon release.
To the dev's credit, he stuck to his guns and every update/expansion to my knowledge has been free.

Bought it at launch and was very disappointed like everyone else.
Every time I try to get back into it when they put out an update (I've tried like 5 times), the slog of the beginning is too tough to get through
The game looks incredible if you're like 100 hours in but I can just never get there

I got way into the OG release on PS4 but starting over this time was like firing up a brand new game.

They learned their lesson about hype.

Engoodening of No Man's Sky
Long but the video is worth a watch. I bought the game years ago after watching this and still haven't played.
And they have probably had an additional 5+ major updates since.

It's fantastic if you like open ended games. You can tell from 5 minutes of YouTube if it's your style or not. If it is, you're in for a treat. It's one of the best games I've ever played.

As a day 1, It's been a very interesting development cycle. I put a ton of hours into it when it first came out, but I've struggled to pick up the updates and put a lot more time into it. With all the changes they've made, it would be great to start from scratch all these years later lol.

Engoodening of No Man's Sky
Almost everything that was left out of the release, was left out because of bullshite lawsuits.
It became "engoodened" when the lawsuits were thrown out or settled
