What about the past year hasn't been strange. I hope 2017 is just as fricking weird

Such an internet question
Should I be angry and shouting or praising them? It is just a couple of facts that you can interpret however you want

quote:I see it as a good thing. It allows them to continue the Mario Maker IP and expand on it with other classic Nintendo IP's if they like. It also opens the door for porting over or emulating DS and 3DS games.

My prediction was 900p so this isn't too far off

We also might be able to make some further assumptions about the battery life now if we compare it to the Nvidia Shield. The Shield runs at 1080p and it has an 8" screen. Its battery lasts 10 hours watching/surfing the web and about five hours from gaming.
The Switch (allegedly) has a smaller, 6.2" screen and runs at 720p. Smaller screen size probably also means a smaller battery but maybe we can expect comparable battery life to the larger Shield (5 hours)? Of course, this isn't factoring in those "Joy-Con" attachments which may draw power directly from the tablet.
If they can get close to 5 hours of gaming from it, I'll be impressed.

I like what I'm seeing with this device, I hope it succeeds, and really like the direction. With that said I don't see any reason for me to get one

Saw this pop up on Reddit and thought it was interesting. Rumor has it that the Nintendo Switch will have GameCube Virtual Console support. First games to be released will be Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I saw that on N4G. I hope it has virtual 3ds support.

Would be way too good to be true.
I'd immediately buy all three.

So annoyed that they didn't release this for Christmas. My son wants one... but of course he also wants the new Skylanders. I hate to buy the new Skylanders if we're going to be moving to a switch in the near future.
Oh well... I think I'll buy the new Skylanders and hold off on the Switch until next Christmas. The WiiU is fine for me at the moment (still a complete Splatoon addict. Finally hit A+ ranking in competitive and looks like I'll be staying there).
