I bought a Nintendo Switch a while back and will be giving it to my kiddos for Christmas.
I want to be able to play Mario Kart and Smash Bros with them (4 players total) and also have ability for my 2 boys to play remotely.
This is the exact setup I bought.
What accessories am I going to need?
Have googled this but opinions are all over the damn place it seems.

You'll need another set of joycons for 4 players. Besides that nothing really unless you wanted to get a separate dock to charge all of the joycons. I've seen some that fit all 4.

I would strongly suggest a pro controller if plan on playing more serious type games on it (think Zelda BoTW or Dark Souls remastered etc.)
The joycons are fine for simple, casual games but the buttons and joysticks are obnoxiously small for adults wanting to plan a meatier game.

So 2 more joycons and something like this?:

Pretty young kids, so I think it will be used for pretty light play kid-friendly stuff.
More interested in playing as family and the ability for them to be able to travel-play.
Guess I need a case too?

Also how can you purchase games? Online and some type of disk?
I'm guessing I may need a MicroSD?

A screen protector is a no-brainer as well. kids playing it on the go will scratch that screen to Hell unless you get one.

I would get at least another grip (charging grip), and another set of joycons. I would also get a pro controller honestly. You may want to play with that.

Yeah, I would suggest a scandisk microSD
Screen protector
Do you have any other gaming systems?

The 8bitdo wireless bluetooth receiver would be a cheap option for you to be able to use your xbox one controller on your switch. It is very responsive, 8bitdo generally makes pretty quality 3rd party stuff
