Anyone else played this?
Just started my 3rd play through and Holy crap!!! I just had to sit there and stare at the TV for a few minutes. This game is crazy good. And the soundtrack is phenomenal.

Best game of 2017. Yoko Taro is a genius. sets up all of these tropes in the first half and then turns the player on their head by deconstructing all of those tropes. 2nd playthrough is a bit too similar to the first for my taste (though it does provide some good insight into the backstory), but dear god the entire game is stellar. keep going and enjoy. dont read spoilers.

i have the soundtracks for both the original and Automata. I listen to both almost every day and have for the past year. so many good tracks, it's unbelievable. def the GOAT game soundtracks

Agree.... I really enjoyed the parts where 2B and 9S were separated. I liked the hacking mini games too.

yes, i think there should've been more divergences in the first playthrough so that there was more new content with 9S in Route B. Probably a time/budget deal. Still enjoyed.

I thought it was good, but I am not as in love with it as some people are. I would like to play the original Nier as it looks to be the superior game.

Nier does some things that I like more, but it's definitely limited by the tiny budget and some technical issues. It gets even more creative than Automata with a lot of things though. Both are recommended. Automata just has the gameplay and combat down so well in addition to the story and characters.

are we really still on this. this board is pretty dead all the time. let the man make a topic instead of digging up a 4 month old one. it serves a good purpose letting people who forgot about this game remember our first 3rd playthrough haha

Well this was accurate
That was exhausting. So many emotions.
Chose ending C. Thought it was the right one.....until I replayed that last part to see the difference. Amazing game. Want to get the first now and fire up the PS3.

Congrats, now you can get the rest of the endings! Although, some of them really spoil a lot from the first Nier.
