Nier: Automata - holy shite this game kicks arse

Totally off the radar for me, downloaded on a whim. Combat is fast and fluid, boss was an utter blast (love boss fights with different "stages"), and 2B is a boss. Can't wait for March. Just need some more enemy types. Don't like fighting same bots over and over
If you have a PS4, download the demo ASAP. I'm sure oauron will be only person to respond though

Is it just endless fetch quests in the same three areas like the first game? Can you just spam the same move over and over for combat?

Just played through the demo and really liked it. I didn't expect to but I really liked the combat. I was worried that you could just spam the guns at first but then the harder enemies didn't allow that.
I got a Metal Gear graphic and story vibe from it. I don't know if that was just the anime inspiration or what. I never watched anime to know.

Well, you couldn't really do that in the first Nier.
As for fetch quests, you didn't have to do them. The story areas were excellent in Nier and you could do a lot of interesting combinations of magic and weaponry.
As for the Automata, I'm really excited for it.
