New iPhone - Help Needed with Transfer from Old Phone

Figured this is the best place to get some help on this. Just got the new 4s and need to transfer everything from my old 3G to this one. Problem is that my 3G was set up and run from my old laptop which is basically dead. I tried to use my wife's laptop with her iTunes. I backed up the old phone and tried to restore that to the new phone. My contacts and pictures all came over, but no apps and no music that was on my phone. What am I doing wrong here and how do I correct this without accidentally erasing my old phone? All help is appreciated.

You would have to have your iTunes account on her computer I think. That's how you would transfer all your apps and music.

You can have 2 active accounts on one computer? Is there a step to "transferring" that?
Also it never took me to the step to actually activate the phone as well.

Yes.
In iTunes under the Store tab, there is Authorize This Computer and DeAuthorize This Computer.

Yes you can.
All you have to do is Authorize the computer, then hit Transfer Purchases.

Cool. Will have to try this out tonight. Hopefully I will have an active 4s tomorrow.
