Can’t sue if they’re not profiting off of the player’s likeness. Now if they ask for donations or make you pay for the rosters then you’ll run into legal troubles

How would that work? That’s the website getting the traffic and ad revenue, not the poster(s) that upload their rosters. If it’s like NCAA 14 then you just type in the person’s gamertag or PS name and download their roster. Or if it’s like Madden, then you have the rosters that are uploaded directly to the game for you to download.
Would Chicken get sued if we uploaded rosters for NCAA Football on this website?

You can’t actually upload files here. You’re best bet is to go to operationsports.com website.

Huh? I was replying to another poster saying you’d get in trouble for uploading rosters on a website because you’re profiting via ad revenue.
Back in ncaa 14, you just used the website to find a poster’s gamertag to download their rosters from the game itself.

They'd have to fully randomize rosters. What got them in trouble last time was the random "RB #20" would be the same height, weight, skin color, year in school, hometown, and skill set as the actual RB #20 for that school. And if you downloaded a custom roster the announcer magically knew how to pronounce "Manziel" correctly.
Make the rosters truly random - with at most making the real life good teams better than the real life bad teams. If fans want to crowdsource accurate players and ratings they can do all the grunt work.

They don’t need the players permission if they can prove it’s random and not an accurate representation of them. You’re over thinking all of this.
This is what I always assumed.
I never understood why they couldn't just do this to begin with.
I just want an NCAA game on the newer console with updated graphics.. that's it. The OS community can produce accurate rosters. Although now the newer systems are coming out, so maybe make it compatible for that.
I 100% believe college football will go on as scheduled, but what if there was no college football. Would that be the perfect time to drop an NCAA game? Especially as far as owing money/rights.
Again, I fully expect college football this season.
