Some might say the bye week hurt the Bulldogs, and some may say that Ole Miss playing at home carrying a 3-0 record played a part in it. Whatever the case may be, #16 ranked Georgia got all they could handle from un ranked Ole Miss.
Things seemingly started off great for Georgia as they won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half. On the third play of the game, Ole Miss QB Randall Mackey threw his only interception of the game as the ball sailed over his receivers head and into the waiting arms of Safety Bacari Rambo.
Georgia could not capitalize on that turnover as they were held to a quick 3 and out. Georgia's defense didn't back down and held Ole Miss to their own 3 and out. Georgia marched down the field and opened up the scoring on a 1 yard touchdown run by Freshman RB Isiah Crowell with just over 2 minutes left in the first quarter.
Ole Miss had a chance late in the second quarter to put points on the board but a field goal attempt from 40 yards out sailed wide right.
The real shock started in the third quarter. Chalk up a moral victory to the coaches at Ole Miss as they did a hell of a job pumping their team up at half time. Ole Miss came flying out of the gates on defense at the half and hit the Bulldogs in the mouth. Ole Miss sent a LB blitz at the right time as Aaron Murray could do nothing but cough the ball up and MLB Will Martin picked it up on the 4 yard line and took it to the house to tie the game up at 7 a piece.
Aaron Murray told the coach to give him the ball. He wanted to show that he could come back and wasn't scared, and come back he did. Murray hooked up with WR Tavaress King on a 23 yard play action pass. The defense was fooled badly as King had nobody around him for about 15 yards.
Ole Miss quickly answered with a touchdown of their own to tie the game back up at 14. Aaron Murray threw the first of two interceptions and Ole Miss turned it into a 17-14 lead.
This game was the coming out party for Freshman WR Michael Bennett. Bennett only had 5 receptions but he turned those 5 receptions into 175 yards and 1 touchdown that put Georgia ahead 21-17 to end the crazy third quarter.
Ole Miss pulled ahead 24-21 early in the fourth on a TD run. Georgia tied the game up at 24, to send the game into overtime. In overtime, Safety Bacari Rambo came up huge for the second time as he forced a fumble the Georgia recovered. Three plays later, Kicker Blair Walsh sent a 38 yard field goal between the uprights for the game winner.
Georgia struggled to stop the run for the second game in a row as Brandon Boulden rushed 22 times for 121 yards and a score. Aaron Murray turned in a great performance as he connected on 16 of 23 passes for 292 yards, two scores, and two interceptions. Highly touted Freshman RB Isiah Crowell had another off week as he picked up just 51 yards on 14 carries, but punched in one run.
Georgia will have another rushing attack to attempt to stop next week as Mississippi State travels to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs between the hedges.

I simmed 85% of my defensive plays. I was on a tight time schedule, so I didn't have that much time to play defense. Fiddle had one play that he kept breaking. Apart from that play, he didn't do much else in the running game. I'm not worried about anyone's running game. Just hope that you can stop my offense

If you can't get in touch with him within the next 2 hours, I'll put him on autopilot so you can get the game in.

I know it's fun advancing every day and it's cool that people are getting their games in fast, but to put a guy on autopilot a full 24 hours before scheduled advance is a bit much don't you think? At least wait until tomorrow before putting adam on autopilot.

We advance tonight.
We advanced on Wednesday, it's 2 full days.
ETA: Why did I think we advanced Wednesday, nevermind. We aren't advancing until tomorrow. My bad.
