How is this deal for ~1k? Is there a better pc for the price? Not a super heavy gamer in general but would like something that would work for next 5+

You can do ALOT better for the same price by just buying the parts yourself and then paying a local person to assemble it for you.

This might be true but I don’t have confidence in my skills and also isn’t windows itself a hundred bucks? Do you think I should go pcpartpicker route?

Either pay a little bit more for a much better gpu Assuming you don't wanna frick with building it or having someone else do it for you. Welp, nvm on the 2nd, the price shot up 200 bucks.

That’s why you pay someone at a Pc repair shop like $100 and they can assemble it for you.
Also windows is completely free… you can buy an activation code to remove an annoying watermark for like $15-20

I submitted the parts in pcpartpicker and wasn’t less expensive. I’m guessing these guys have wholesale discounts

So you can build that for 866?

I looked at that prebuilt again and assuming you actually get what you pay for, it is a good deal... but when I see a seller like "SuperDeal Store"... im going to be skeptical.. but the seller is apparently US based so probably less likely for it to be a scam.
I made this as an alternate build... downgraded slightly with the CPU, but this has a 4070 for just slightly more. Technically you could also save money on your own build if other parts like your case, power supply, hard drives, etc are all still functioning so it wouldn't require you to buy those new.

You're not a super heavy gamer, but you're buying a system with a GTX 4060, which is $300 retail. Why? I'm not saying integrated graphics are the answer, but my card price target is no more than $220 ish.
What is crapping out? Have you tried doing a clean reinstall? Do you want to try basic maintenance first, like vacuuming dust off of the fans and other components in case things are overheating?

When was the last time you purchased a GPU?

LOL, you're going to laugh your arse off, but 2018, an RX580+. But I also don't chase AAA+ games and couldn't recognize ray tracing or anti-aliasing, etc., if it hit me in the face. I've checked the Tom's Hardware GPU charts a couple of times a year, the 580+, compared to power consumption, just hangs around in the "good enough" category.
But it won't change that I won't pay for a card that costs much more. There's an RX6600 for $189 on NewEgg right now. And OP doesn't game a lot, so what problem are we fixing?

My brother, I’m not sure you could have picked a more disparate pair had you tried. AA has been around forever, and as a general rule, requires very little out of the performance budget

If you're giving it away I'll take it and make my Linux computer.

I told you I had no real idea what they did, and I used to switch IRQ channels when I was younger. It helps as you get older your vision gets more F*cked up, so I couldn't tell anyway. My display information probably ended at the difference between 1080P and 1080i. Hence why I spend under $225 on cards, and not often.

Raytracing uses cutting edge chips to calculate every ray of light from every light source, including bouncing off of surfaces, to create hyper realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections.
Anti-aliasing uses super basic algorithms to make non-straight lines less jagged.
Ray tracing:

Anti aliasing:

And this is why I don't notice. If I'm supposed to melee you, I see your head, and none of the details.
I admit to being a "story" player.

Yeah I think hardware AA started in like 2001.
