Monitor purchase advice

If you are currently in the market for a gaming monitor what features are you most interested in? I’m upgrading from a 1080p 60hz TV after my recent xbox series S purchase and would like opinions on which direction to go.
-budget is 500 or less at 24-27 inch
-games played are a mix of FPS (not competitive), sports titles and open world single player
Also of note, I game with lights on rather than off.
So which features do you think most important for my use case?
Bestbuy-27GL850-B
I was recommened this by a buddy after he purchased. Does anyone have experience with this specific monitor or even similar models?

Way overpriced. You can get 1440p/144hz variable refresh rate monitors sub $300 now

LG 27GL83A-B is the same monitor and goes on sale @ Amazon for 329.99 sometimes. That's way better than the BB overpriced model. (355 right now)

I have it and it's pretty frickin sweet.

That monitor is overpriced.
I got a 32 Inch LG, 2560p x 1440p, 165hz and 1ms response time for 300$ on Amazon.
27 inch sceptre monitor
Here's a 27 inch Sceptre
2560p x 1440p
1ms response time and 165hz.
220$

Thanks for the replies everyone. I agree that the monitor I listed is overpriced currently but it seems to be highly reviewed on rtings, youtube and other sites.

The only difference in the BB model and the 83A-B is two USB ports you’ll never use. Same screen, same specs otherwise.
If you can find it for under $300 like guy above me said, it’s by far the best purchase.

Good info. I will stay patient until I can find it at that price.
