I'm not getting it, didn't get last year's either. I get so excited and they let me down with the online play.

I exclusively play offline franchise and I thought last year's gameplay was a stepback actually. I can't point out exactly what it was, but it just felt weird to me.
I usually wait for the rosters to come out before I buy the game. If there aren't rosters I for sure won't be buying it

I am strictly offline franchise for the most part too. I didn't find any issues with the gameplay though. I enjoyed as much as ever. What I do, to make it more enjoyable for me, is to take the Astros (my favorite MLB team) and trade for all the LSU players in the majors and minors, after rosters come out. That way I get to watch the LSU guys progress, as some of them make it up to the MLB team. I play one game out of every series. I've made it through probably 6-7 seasons that way, and I'm still going.

There will be rosters, from the same guys as always. They will just be under a different name. I posted the update on it on the first page.

It makes sense that they focus so much on diamond dynasty. The game mode is amazing. I just don't have the time to sink into that mode anymore like I used to. It's very addicting.

Question for those who may know. My team(Mariners) denied my RTTS players arbitration...or something like that. It says I’m a free agent but have no offers and says I can pick any team I want. Has anybody had this happen? I’ve seen some videos online where people were free agents but they all had teams offer them contracts instead of picking any team they want. I led the league in saves last year so I feel like I should have some offers.

The AI is retarded in offlines modes in regards to team management. Been like that for a few years.

Gotcha, I chose the Mariners but they wanted to send me to double a instead of the majors so I didn’t save it. Now I may just choose another team and see.

i stopped playing RttS because of these same issues.
Every night after the Braves finish up, I play a couple of games before bed, and I just plugged through an entire season with Atlanta, playing all of the games. I ended up beating Houston in the World Series in 7 games after sneaking in as the 2nd WC team. Even with myself playing all of the games, I thought everything came out pretty realistically (stats, wins/losses, etc) with the difficulty set on Dynamic mode. Now it's time to take a break before diving into year 2.
I read an idea that sounded interesting where a guy added all of the in-game Legends onto their respective historical teams and ran a Franchise mode like that. Basically all of the teams had their real players with legends sprinkled in. I haven't looked to see who all is in the game, and I'd imagine that some teams would be more represented than others, so it would be interesting to see how the standings played out over a full season.
