There are 3 schedule types to choose from, Open which allows all game to be playable. Flex, which opens a series of games in advance (we choose how many see below) and then advances automatically in 3, 5, or 7 days, and then there is series, which is one series at a time and advances in the same 3-7 days chosen.
For flex you then choose the Flex Leeway, which is how many series' are open in advance.
So what do you guys think? Flex schedule with 5 real life days to play 3 series? That's what I was thinking. If that's too much we need to know here soon, I'll hold off on making the franchise until tonight so we can get responses because this isn't changeable once created.
I also changed the wildcard game from a 1 game playoff to a 3 game series while leaving the others default. Even with 30 players, max playoff teams allowed is 10. So WS length is 7 games, championship series 7, divisional 5, wildcard 3.

Wildcard game needs to stay at 1 in my opinion. Keep the pressure on big time.
5 real life days to play 3 series (potential to be 12 games, most likely 9) is insanely unrealistic. That's more than two games a day. I don't know what everyone's schedule is like but working 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and then having to juggle two kids and a wife, I just won't have the time to play in this. With having 30 different schedules to accomodate, trying to play that many games in such a short window could be extremely difficult.
I would also vote for Flex scheduling 7 day advance.

I agree with Hart we need a little time. Cramming it all in will be too difficult to do. I play in a football dynasty with some really good guys and we only play 2 games per week and it is rough to get that in sometimes.

So 3 series in 7 days? Or 2 series?
And as far as wildcard game lets see what everyone thinks most hate the 1 game playoff in real life so I like the 3 game idea.

I think we should do flex. Give everyone a chance to play freely. I think we should monitor it. Say if someone isn't available and we don't know why then we should set 6-9 games have to be played in every 2 weeks. If they aren't then that person goes on auto pilot.

We could start lower and see how it goes. If everyone is playing timely then increase the games. Also I like the 3 game series for the wild card.

Yeah but don't you think you'll play more than one game a day if the other person is down for it? I'm more of a binge gamer. I won't play for a few days but when I do, it's usually a marathon session.

I'd be down for 3 series in 7 days, because that gives us the weekend to play as well. The reason I prefer flex over open is because when you have flex, you only need to focus on a couple of guys to get in touch with in a certain period. As opposed to an open schedule where you play everyone, but if there are 8 other guys are playing and they happen to playing each other, it sort of leaves you out of the loop.

However, I recognize that the umpires are the reason we lost it and I really do enjoy the added intensity of a 1 game playoff.

I agree with everything Hart said. Nights and weekend nights is all I will be able to play because I'm working 7 days a week. 1 wildcard game is cool as well.

Alright sounds like 3 series over 7 days is what we'll do.
I know District and Smoke and Teezy are good with that too.
3-2 for keeping 1 game wildcard.
I've gotta run but I'll wait for any more input and make the league this evening.

UH, how are we going to deal with the potential Online lag issues? I haven't tried myself because I read about all of the lag issues.
