re: Microsoft will keep CoD on Sony platforms "as long as there's a PlayStation out to ship to

i had built a PC back in '12 or '13. i didn't stick with it for too long since cross play wasn't a thing back then and most of my friends at the time were still on console.

built a PC specifically for MW2019. and haven't touched a console much since then. i have a PS5, but it's rarely ever used.

i don't have any numbers to back up this claim, but i do feel like the PC community has grown over the past few years since the industry has accepted cross-play.

I don't understand why Sony doesn't want Gamepass on Playstation. If anything, it would increase hardware sales.

Well they would make pennies off of it, like they make in hardware sales. But what is the compelling reason for gamepass? I have both, there's not a game i want to play on either right now. Meh.

But i'm old, and the new generation is probably where they are focusing.

I'm just saying that if Sony is so worried about CoD and other items becoming exclusive to Xbox, Sony should go hard on supporting the idea of bringing gamepass over to Playstation. Let Microsoft look like the bad guy if they balk at bringing those games over to Playstation.
