I get through one tough spot only to end up in an even tougher spot.
Finally make it passed the blue EMMI and then run into a flying electric big boss who proceeds to wreck my shite 5 or 6 times.
Now I have to go back through the blue EMMI area.

Very much a trial and error game with some of these bosses but was able to complete it in 7 hours so got that one set achievement for doing it in less than 8 hours.

I’m going for 100% completion right now. Some of the speed boost items are tough.
Beyond that, I’m at the finale.

Have two areas left to 100%.
Almost came close to throwing my Switch earlier while trying to get one of the speed block items.
The jumping can be finicky at times, especially when you are trying to perform quick direction changes.
Good thing is, I’ll go into the boss with about 10 health bars, >200 missiles, and 15 power bombs.

Well, the 2nd stage of the final boss is impossible.
Didn’t even make me angry when I lost.
I’m maxed out on everything and this can’t be done.
The design of this game sucks when it comes to flying bosses.
I would understand it if it was merely a time limit thing, but the controls suck as a move and shoot type thing.
This is just a worse version of the electric bug.
When you have to stop moving to aim at a boss who you can’t stop moving to fight, that’s a problem.

There are a few points where its safe to unload on him. You can also charge up the multishot while dodging and just aim+blast to hit with 5 in a short period.
Dont forget about your quick move thing with direction + A as well.
Just finished my first run. Around 6.5 hours and 53% items. Collection time!

I made it to the 3rd phase last time I tried.
I was getting very angry on the last try before I posted that.

Use ZL to slide away from most hits and jump around him when he machine guns at you. And the. I use missile lock to target him and release when I can to conserve ammo and get more shots off.
Posted on 10/13/21 at 8:36 pm to Mystictiger
I went the 100% route and have >250 rockets.
Ammo isn’t my issue.
It’s my skills.
I haven’t tried again today, but I’ll probably beat it tomorrow.

Beat it.
Last boss wasn’t too bad once I got the final boss’ patterns and that the power bomb will destroy his sun weapon.

You guys have me scared. I feel it's right around perfectly hard. A few EMMIs took me 5 or 6 tries, which is just right.
Just got the Dash skill

Some of the later EMMIs are very challenging.
Good luck.

I am planning to buy it, feels like it's an amazing game!
It's a fantastic game. My skill level leaves a lot to be desired and I've still managed to almost beat it so far - I'm taking a break to do as much upgrade collecting as I can.
Scruffy, some of these speed boost challenges can eat a big ol' bag of dicks. I don't know how I got that far in the game without knowing how to Shinespark. I'm hoping if I go clear all of the easy/medium/kind of hard upgrades in all the zones maybe I'll be better at it and Ball Spark to go back and get the last pack of missiles in each zone I am having to skip.

It is where you have to speed boost, jump three levels while maintaining boost, shinespark, then break blocks at an angle.
It is the one in Cataris.

There are a few I'm just straight up not doing and that's one of them for sure. A couple of them are like that - there's one in I think Dairon or Ferenia where you have to speed boost, ricochet off a wall, slide through and break some blocks, shinespark, go back and ball spark. That's not getting done either.

Posted on 10/16/21 at 5:12 pm to sahikojones
The wall jump ones really aren't as bad as they look and felt good on how it flowed.
Thinking back on the last few I had to do, once you knew what to do none of them were too bad. A few of them did skirt the very edge of allowable time though.
The ones that annoyed me are the ones where they involved a technique you had zero possibility of knowing existed. Like shinesparking into a slope to keep the speed boost and charge it again shite.

It didn’t explain that you could do that at all.
