Yeah I think I saw an issue on reddit talking about the season progress fatigue is bugged. We turned it off.
But I think there is another bug as my starting HB has been yellow the entire season even before the first snap of the game. No matter how often he's in the game it's yellow. No one else in our league is having that issue. Pretty interesting.
ETA: Been having more fun the last couple days playing. Trying not to be nitpicky as the game seems to have a lot of bugs and glitches, but so has every other sports game I've played I guess.

I'm playing in an online franchise with 32 users on next gen Xbox.
After the pre season we couldn't get any week one games to make it past the first play from scrimmage after kickoff. We discovered that you have to retire your coach and make an owner otherwise you can't play online h2h without a desync.

It is the competition against others and building a team from complete garbage into something that you like with current and former players. I have been playing since Madden 15 and I've spent cash on packs but for the past 3 titles I have been NMS.

replying to myself for an update
They did some maintenance this morning on the game and it lasted a while since I was unable to play Solo Battles until just recently. Allegedly they patched some things with dynasty.
MUT Update: At 82 OVR just playing solos and spamming mid-blitz on defense. If you are going to play and get the rookie premiere pack, do yourself a favor and pick Ja'marr Chase. 91 spd is a killer in solos

I played a few more games last night and still find it hard to play more than that or I get bored.
Definitely doesn't give me a lot of hope for NCAA.

The CPU cheats in solos if you try to play honest, so I have cheese it on defense.

I really don't get it either. What is the appeal of grinding hours and hours or spreading assloads of money for practically the same cards every year?

Remove cash and you have every FPS or MMO made in the past 15 years. I’ll admit that I enjoy playing with current and past players while building my roster. As a sports junkie there is something awesome about having Mahomes at QB throwing dots to Ja’marr Chase whilst having a shutdown corner in Revis.

I think this is overblown. Ultimate Team is just whatever, it's fairly fun I play it decently for FUT and used to HUT as well. Madden never got into it cuz hate the gameplay.
Building a roster is fun. Upgrading guys new and old and fav players etc. And you don't need to spend a dime really, so many free packs and just play some cpu games and easy challenges and bam got a few decent guys to build around right off the bat.

I’ve never got into MUT and have always been a Franchise guy. Love importing the draft classes and taking a team 5+ years into the future but Madden has neglected Franchise Mode for so many years now that I’ve stopped buying it not to mention the game could be so much better than it actually is.
I was hyped when I heard this year they were actually upgrading Franchise Mode, but man what a let down that turned out to be. I mean we got a coaching tree thats basically a copy of what was in NCAA 14 and then just more of you game plan bullshite?
What a let down that was. I’m sure that was more than enough for the developers to not touch for another few years.

PUP was a great move for MUT along with the season champion. Sam Mills was a monster once fully upgraded
