Madden 22 Questions

Did a qb/rb draw all the all the way for a TD. No huttle. This guy sucked.

Curl and corner routes seem to work against a lot of zone defenses. Crossers too if you throw them at the right time.

I fricking hate Spacing and Spot out of Bunch. I know it’s coming and I have to play cover 2 against it and use control the center curl/hook zone and it annoys the shite out of me. That and stick routes. frick you stick routes. Have the time I see bunch formations, I just say frick it and blitz 6 and hope my corners press enough to frick it up.

Idk how y’all can’t read defenses. They even have tutorials on this in game to help you identify coverages based on pre snap positioning. Hell if you can identify what the linebackers alone are doing right before the snap or right after the snap, that will tell you what everyone else is doing in coverage.

This is me. When I played Madden I wouldn't be able to read these so I would call a play (on offense) and either do an out, cross or somewhat of a curl. I'd also mix in some runs, but there was no strategy. Every defense would look the same to me, wouldn't be able to tell the difference b/t man and zone.

It takes time. You gotta know what you’re looking for and not get frustrated when your go to plays aren’t working. That’s another thing: try not to pick your plus based off your money plus. Pick your plays based off what the user has been giving you. It’s a bit of a chess game. Try not to be too reactive to the previous play. “Oh they were in Cover 3 last ply so imma hit this quick out.” That leads to my Cover 2 hard flat pick 6

Reading the shell coverage will typically get you what you’re looking for. The CBs are giving 10yd cushion? Cover 3. The CBs are up on the LOS? Cover 2. Like TRC said too, the LBs will give away coverage as well but they’re pretty easy to disguise. Usually if they’re lined up directly over their assignment it’s M2M. If they’re inside the box it’s Cover 3/2. I’m the type of defensive user that’ll base align all of my plays though. It looks like C3 but you never know. Another thing I recommend is usering the LB. Some people like to user the MLB specifically, some like to user the weak LB, some will user the strong LB. I find people that only user the faster LB to usually be trash. They run around the center of the field with their head cut off trying to cover every route. You can’t cover every single route. It’s impossible no matter how good your user is.

Just be humble too. The game isnt screwing you. I used to play in leagues and never lost to the “bad” players. Had a few close calls where I was pressing or maybe a fumble went the other way. But it never felt like Madden was boosting their players. When you throw ints, figure out why.

Madden 22 is garbage on next gen. As someone that genuinely enjoys MUT and online franchises, it’s just not fun.

So I bought the game last night and let it download over night

First time playing it, it lagged and stuttered a shitload (offline game) for a couple minutes but then seemed to straighten out and I really enjoyed the game (haven’t had madden in 5-6 years).

Now I’m trying to play tonight and have had the same issue and can’t get it to quit. The game has crashed twice but restarting it hasn’t changed anything. Now I’m rebooting the entire console

Did some googling and really didn’t come up with much, PS5 doesn’t feel hot at all. Anyone else had this problem? Is it something with me or is the game just this broken and I have to wait for EA to hopefully fix it?
