Found the bone-cutting blade and put the dancer’s handle it on it. This thing slaps. Used a technique crank since I’m not pouring ergo into motivity.

I’m not big on “Soulslike”. I don’t think anyone comes close and they’re my favorite games, but these guys nailed it. It reminds me of a lot of the best things about DS1/3 with Bloodborne and Sekiro mixed in.

NGL at a certain point I started using all my Ergo for grenades and other throwables to use burning down one health bar per boss. I "got gud" at one phase and then cheesed the shite out of the other.

Took a break for a few days and got him on my first try yesterday. Working through the Grand Exhibition area now. The rafters are bitch with the shield puppet. I keep baiting him so I can just run past him

I feel like I keep missing out on games like this because I hate starting over.
They should make an easy setting so everyone can play it.
I gave up on Nioh, demons souls, bloodborne, and surge because I'd get stuck in spots and dont feel like dying a million times, just want to play the game, not play the same section over and over and over again.

These games aren't even that hard, they just take slightly more focus than a game like Zelda or Red Dead. If you just approach them knowing that death is around every corner, then you'll have a much smoother playthrough.
Be cautious and know when to cut bait and run.
They all give you every tool you need to win. Lies of P really drives this home because it's a brutal and punishing game, but once I started using my throwables it became sooooo much more manageable.
The key is not to get stuck in a mindset that isn't adaptable to each situation. Newcomers can't generally just smash through the game with starter gear and expect to succeed.
They def don't need an easy mode.

I don’t see this as a “cheese”. They’ve already patched the game and didn’t touch the throwables. They even give us a merchant that has an unlimited supply. I think the devs wanted this strat to be a viable option. And on NG+ and up, and even some late game bosses, you can’t solely rely on them anyway.

I’ve been stuck for a day and a half. I said frick it and went farming to buy supplies. I can get him down to about one or two more hits in the second phase and he goes psycho. The first phase I can melt his arse.

I’m stuck on this gay arse Archbishop. I can get past phase 1 no problem, but for some reason phase 2 is fricking me up. I love it lol
