I'm probably completely out of the loop, but it looked like two of the guys were wearing LSU gear. Is it like a regional thing, or am I just going crazy?

Is there anything that drastically different from the original?

New weapons and a new boss critter are cool.. but the first one got extremely boring once you played through enough to know the maps. There wasn't anything really forcing you to come back and keep playing, which is too bad because the concept was cool.

Well for one you can't just stay in a corner and fight off a horde. If you do they just keep coming. You have to deactivate an alarm that's attracting them. Also there are mazes throughout the game and they get harder or easier depending on how well you're doing in the level thus far.

Just played through the first two campaign's, and one thing that really stood out was that it was a lot harder, even on normal, an so a lot more fun. Instead of just moving from corner to corner, you're pretty much scrambling the entire time.

The new weapons and power ups are a lot of fun, and the level design is great. And the new special infected fill in the gaps that the old ones left nicely.

yep. Swarm after swarm after swarm. We were laughing until we had tears at the Rollercoaster level. Normal is fricking tough.

So is it worth it then overall?

I was a bit miffed when they announced this, because I really do love L4D. If the zombie-killing population moves over to part 2, then I guess I must too.

I picked it up. So far I think it's worth it. There is a bit more variety with the levels and they are generally designed pretty well. Weapons still fall into shotgun, machine gun, rifle, and pistol classes with the melee weapons added in. With each weapon type, there are about 3 or 4 different models to choose from. I have been digging the assault shotgun.

Melee weapons are a lot of fun. Chainsaw is sick.

i've tried playing on xbl, but it's a nightmare right now. Zombies don't so much run than they do teleport from spot to spot. Impossible to enjoy playing against that shite. I made it on through to the 4th act, so I'm just playing the rest by myself to see what happens in the end. halfway through the NOLA level.
