I do not game very often and so don’t know too much about these specs and what would be a good budget laptop.

I’m not looking to spend too much because I don’t play too much, but I’d like to have something around in case I get a wild hair to play a game.

Tiny Glade looks like a fun “game” to play at the moment. Specs below:

quote:

RECOMMENDED: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10+ Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen

Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: For 1080p: A graphics card with Vulkan 1.2 support and 4+ GB of video memory: Radeon RX 580, GeForce GTX 1060, Intel Arc A380, or similar.

Storage: 3 GB available space Sound Card: Absolutely Additional Notes: A mouse with 2 buttons + scroll wheel is necessary for camera control.

Thanks in advance for suggestions for a low-med level recommendations.

In 2025, you can basically run that game on a potato. Just give us how much you want to spend and we can make a suggestion for the best bang for your buck at a given price point.

Gonna have to go with a refurb if you going that cheap. appears to be only 720p resolution as well. But good deal for 534. Just buy a mouse seperate.

Or go a 100 dollars more for a 1080p screen, better GPU and longer warranty. Still a refurb tho.

Money really isn’t that big of a deal, I just find myself playing a game or two for like a month and then stop for 5-6 because of other things I do and then go back again to games.

If 7-800 is a better range, please let me know what would work there as well.

I appreciate the feedback so far.

At your price point, it could also be worth checking out a Steam Deck. Add yourself a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and you actually have a decently powerful Linux-based computer to play tons of recent titles on.

Just make sure the laptop has dedicated graphics and if it’s new it will be fine. Nothing that game requires will push a current gaming laptop, even a “low end” one.

Just make sure the manufacturer has good reviews.

At that price point a stream deck is 100% what I would look at if this is only for gaming. That, or ASUS's equivalent

I bought a Lenovo Legion laptop year or so ago, and have been very pleased with it. It runs everything I want to play with its 3070 TI. These seem to go on sale quite a bit. I’d keep an eye out on slickdeals.net or similar sites to catch em on sale.
