CE-34878-0 PS4 Error Code
This morning I loaded the game, went into franchise mode, and went to start up my game. Everything ran normally. While the screen was loading to start the game I would get this error message every time. I tried restarting the PS4, checked to see if any updates needed to be downloaded, and it still continued.
Can anyone provide some help on how to fix this?

Per PlayStation -
1. Close the application, install the latest System Software and game updates and restart the system.
2. If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive ("HDD") in your system, please re-install the original HDD.
3. If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to [Settings] > [Initialization] and choose [Initialize PS4].
4. If the error occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support.

How would I back up my saved data?

I think the error is they accidentally slapped a Madden 20 label on a game 5 years old.

If you switched out hard drives. A lot of people, myself included, switched out their stock PS4 drive for one with bigger memory.

If you have PS+ it should be saving to the cloud automatically, but you can always check in the settings.

This is your chance to get a full refund for a trash game.
*I say this as a casual player of said trash game since it's the only football game where o can consistently get mad playing football online competition

This is such a chickenshit narrative that’s being pushed
