i have usurped the flame and become lord of hollows.
sorcerer was fun , but i wouldn't recommend it. entirely different dark souls experience.

How does DoA compare to those first playthrough feels?

@dev, I'm still early but it feels good. World and mechanics are familiar but you regain the sense of exploration and not knowing what's around the corner. Finding bonfires and vendors is a pleasant surprise again.
Also not knowing where to get weapons is a added challenge as well. Cant really plan out a full build too far in advance.
@carson i did find the first vendor (uchi). figured that area was worth a look.

Sen's Fortress complete. Lost quite a few souls as I was trying to navigate a shortcut after beating the boss.

Just cleared Oceiros and got to Archdragon Peak.
So far, Pontiff has killed me the most out of any boss. Dancer is always near the top of "hardest boss" polls, but I swear I dont think she's killed me once. Her moves are so telegraphed and easy to roll through
