The PS4 is now out in 20 more countries than the Xbox One is. While the PS4 is outselling (which is really just outsupplying) in North America, they've sent a lot of stock to Europe.
Sony announced they passed 2.1 million at the start of the month.

That is pretty nuts.

It is. 700k for the first two day of EU launch (250k in UK alone, making it the biggest launch ever).

From what I heard Xbox killed it on black Friday and have sold more ones than ps4s in north America at this point. But Sony has really been focusing on their European launch. I heard it was 800k on launch day there. Seems like Sony would have tried to focus more here since they started out ahead and them market here is so large

Xbox had more supply for Black Friday, so it sold more units. Haven't heard any updated sales numbers for the X1 and the US (MS's press release at the end of Black Friday was about the fun facts like miles driven, zombies killed, etc). We know the PS4 has done ~1.4 million in NA at the end of November. I think they're both at very similar points in NA sales.
That said, Europe as a whole is larger than the US, but Sony has focused a lot more on the US this generation than they ever have.

The report that I read yesterday said there were 1500 consoles sold at most during Black Friday. And that 1500 number is all of the consoles totaled together.

Really that seems suprising. Everywhere I went Friday seemed like they had sold several.
Are there still any issues with PSN?, my old roommate had trouble getting on for a few days at launch and I haven't talked to him since.

I can't say for everyone, but I haven't had basic PSN issues since launch day.
I have heard some horror stories with the EA PS4 titles though, specifically BF4.

I'd say it's safe to say it's working for him now.

Didn't they kill code redemption on PSN due to some issues ?
