I have an Oculus Quest stand alone VR headset. I just saw a video that one of the last updates let’s it run on the computer with a certain cable and you can play any of the VR computer games. They did mention that the graphics would be softer but I guess I could give it a try, if it works great if not no big deal.
I will post later after I do the updates and get the cable.

I have no idea. I'm running an i7-9700k with an RTX2080. No issues. Everything on high detail.

Now all I need is for people to stop running into me.

Good luck with that. My SR is abysmal after the last 2 days.

Looks like iracing is more CPU heavy than GPU so I should be good.

I cannot get out of this wrecking funk I'm in. I get 8 points almost every race. Ugh.

I had same thing happen to me. I went 7 races in a row with people collecting me in their wrecks, I didn’t always finish bad but several races I had to be towed to the pits and finished multiple laps behind. I was turned when leading to being caught up in every kind of situation, you will get through this.

Some friends and I started doing an F1 season league in F1 2019. We just finished Baku, it's been a blast so far

My SR is fine. However, I’ve grinded back twice to get over 2k iR only to be taken out as I was letting someone pass.

Do you have a Steam account? They have a VR test that checks your computer and it will tell you what you lack if anything at all. Heck if you don’t have a account just sign up, it’s free.

Now that’s the way to go, race with people you know and just have fun. I have been looking at some leagues to possibly join for that very reason.

I joined the throwback league for when the 87 cars come out. I probably won't be that competitive just by looking at some of the racers in it but it'll be fun (hopefully). I'm still looking for the right league to join for regular oval stuff

Let me know what you find. I looked at some leagues recently too.

And Steam says I'm VR ready. Performed above average with no frames below 90FPS.

I’m going to look for this, that sounds like it will be fun. I’m still sidelined with a injury to my hand that’s killing me. I can kinda drive with it but not good enough to be competitive, then after I’m finished it hurts so bad I want to choke out little kittens. So I have just been sitting here doing nothing, well I changed the paint on my cars a million times but soon I hope to be back on the track.

Had a really good run of 10 races with some wins in there and got my safety rating back up to 3.5 and change and then bam, wrecked on the 4th lap and rage quit with 10 points. This fricking game. God I want out of D class and these rookie races.

Why has it taken you so long to get out of D? I was out pretty quickly. I also had a little experience and wanted to get to trucks asap. You might have to farm SR and worry about your finishes later.

I don't know.

Every time I try to hang in the back and just be safe, I end up in more messes it seems.

Any gains in the last few days? I'm clawing my way back to 2k iR. I've hit it four times in the past week only to get into some shite and drop back down. I'm holding steady at A4.09 thankfully.

Update for this week's ovals:

ARCA - Homestead is pretty fun if you like running laps. Not too exciting as everyone gets spaced out. If you can hold a little pace and save tires you'll have a great finish. No cautions will help when a few inevitably lose it and you get some free spots. Next week is Lanier which I have no experience in. Might run a few if I need to get some SR or need a break from other things.

C Class - Milwaukee Mile is flat and I hate it. I can't seem to get the line but for one or two laps. I always blow on one side of the track every other lap. I end up saving tires and finishing wherever if I don't get punted. Next week is Kansas and I seem to do very well there.

B Class - Charlotte in these cars will stress you out. They don't handle very well especially in 3 & 4 but the racing is normally pretty exciting. Next week is a road course so I may run some testing this week to see if that's something I'd be interested in.

A Class - I haven't done any at Charlotte but it looks like those cars drive similar to the trucks. Flat out and throttle control to turn. Next week is Kansas, see above.

If anyone gets on and wants to jump in some practice sessions or something let me know. I've been putting in 20 lap sessions to compare in VRS at different places so I'm always down to learn. I'm seriously considering streaming but I'm not sure if that's something I want to invest in just yet but the community is great.

I'm on the complete G29 setup now. I have messed with the CSL Elite PS4 edition and it's a definite upgrade with the load cell pedals and belt driven wheel. I'm fine with my wheel for now but may upgrade the pedals sooner.
