I'm so happy that game pass brought their entire library to PC (GotG)

its so nice getting to play all these great free games without having to play them on an xbox. Just saw they added Guardians of the Galaxy, a game people said is great but short enough that it was hard to justify paying full price.
can't wait to give it a try if I ever take a break from elden ring.
also, warhammer 3 being free is awesome

I like the idea in theory (honestly, that's not true, I'm super old school when it comes to game ownership, but still...), but just eyeballing what I buy on Steam, I spend less than $120/yr on games that are available on gamepass. The only real benefit I can think of for me would be that it would maybe cause me to try out games I would otherwise just flat pass on.

this is a huge benefit for sure. Medieval Dynasty is a good example of that as a game I was interested in but only tried because it was free. (wouldve probably got it on sale eventually) Football Manager, Age of Empires 4, Halo Infinite, Forza, Warhammer 3, Crusader Kings 3 all wouldve probably been day 1 purchases for me tho so I have saved money. I don't tend to be a person that stays playing the same game for an entire year either

I wouldn't put this on hold for too long. Since it isn't a Microsoft title, it could leave the service at any time. I imagine it will be up for at least 6 months, but Microsoft doesn't really publish these agreements so it's hard to predict.

Out of that list, AoE4 and CK3 are the only two that interest me, and I avoid strategy games like the plague until they have been out at least a year or so to allow things to get balanced out. I'm very interested in Guardians, but I've been waiting for it to go a bit deeper on sale (cheapest I've seen on Steam is $30). So that would be a good example of value I would get from the service. But saving myself $30 hardly justifies the annual fee for me.
But that's just me. For people who are consistently playing games offered? I imagine it's a really good deal.

The FF 13 trilogy is it right? Does it operate as steam does or do you need an Xbox to use the pc version? And are the ff13 gamew the original console version or the abysmal pc Portson steam?

Bought it for $20 on PC and it was money well spent, hopefully we get a sequel.

I didn't hear anyone complaining about its length. If anything, it went on a bit too long (or rather they ran out of plot elements and new environments and started having you backtrack back to places you've already explored).
The biggest problem was that the gameplay footage made it look too similar to the Avengers game.
The combat of GotG still has a very similar, floatly feel to it (with enemies that can get pretty spongy), but it is a far better game overall.

Anyone know the answer to this?

you don't need an xbox to use xbox game pass and i'm pretty sure it will just be the PC port that is on steam.

Ok thanks. I’ll look into to check the ports. Didn’t they kinda pull a power move on Sony add a ton of Ff catalogue?
