Ideas for a gift

My son wants COD black ops 4 for Christmas. According to the reviews, I think its a little too violent for him. Also, he likes playing the campaign and I understand that one doesn't have one.
What are some alternatives I could look at for him?
I'm ok with the Titan falls, and even some of the older COD series.
He has a couple Titanfall games. But, I don't know where to start as far as alternative games that are just a little less violent/adult themed.

Well, that was when I played them on a Wii, so maybe its different.
The reviews just talked abut excessive gore. I did see where it could be turned off.

I have no idea. Most modern shooters that come out focus more on multiplayer. Doom
and Wolfenstien are two very good single player shooters, but they are gorey.
