Id really like to see a current gen Twisted Metal game. I feel like so much could be done with customization and maps, it would be an epic online experience as well.
I really enjoyed the first 2 games back in the day, especially part 2. I feel like it would be successful today, going heavy on car customization

Definitely a great classic game. Return of the Sweet Tooth!

Needs to be like 2 or 3, random locations with civilians scattered around. Individual characters no teams/gangs. Bright gameplay not dull and grungy.

Last game looked and played like shite.
In the online..If you could sandbox, using some great maps..and were able to grind to update your vehicle as far as armor strength, engine size, guns, ammo, paint, rims, etc. Forza and RDR 2 kind of detail..Make it a team game as well.
just feel ther series could be revamped as it was very enjoyable back in the day and could be reintroduced successfully if done right.

Pretty sure there's a new Twisted Metal either in development or pre-production.
Twisted Metal
For anyone with the PS5, you may/may not know about Destruction All-Stars.. the game was trash BUT it had the makings of a Twisted Metal if given appropriate time and resources.

VGC’s report indicates a free-to-play model for the new Twisted Metal, which has not been officially announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment, but was previously rumored to be in the works.
Lucid Games was founded in 2011 by former employees of Bizarre Creations, the former Activision-owned studio known for the Project Gotham Racing games, The Club, and Blur. Lucid’s most recent games, Switchblade and Destruction AllStars — the latter came to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation Plus in February — are all about vehicular combat, making the studio a natural fit for Twisted Metal.

First game I played on Sony Playstation, blew me away while I was stuck with the SNES.

I played all the old Twisted Metal games on my Pi not long ago.
I would say that genre has not aged well at all
I would like to play the PS3 version.
