You'd be surprised. I've got a small rug in the living room, and just the bedrooms are carpeted. I vacuumed the rug and the master bedroom. Changed the water in between the rooms.

The shite that got pulled out of the carpet was disgusting. First owners of the house, bought a year ago brand new.

It's also an air purifier. After staying on the low setting the first 24 hours we got it, the water was murky and had a greyish tint.

They are pretty picky when going out on a call though. They won't see anyone that's single, or renting. You have to be married, buying your house, and "gainfully employed".
