My first MMO was Galaxies and no one was stupid powerful on it. It pretty well balanced until we figured out about combat medic fricking up groups in a flash. My guy probably wouldn't have been any better today than he ever was.
My next one was Warcraft and he would have sucked because I would have shot myself a year into it.
Next was Rift and I already had raid t2 gear on 4 guys before I quit it. Not much room for improvement when you have top gear already.
Guild wars 2 is the same way. Pvp was about all that kept me around.

My MMO career started with Conquer Online. I was already a frickin' beast when I quit that game.. if I still played I'd be a monster. But that game is grade-A shite

I see what you're saying, but its fun playing all types.
Pay to PL your toons? I don't mind lvling that way to enjoy real end game content and PvP.

Great game.
We raided the Shadowclan orc fort on Great Lakes/Catskills (one of those) one night. I got dropped from the server right when our group was leaving the meeting spot. I get back in, run over to the fort, and its a slaughter. I just E-bolt about 4 or 5 orcs to death right when I step in. Felt like a badass, then about 5 of those guys just ripped me apart.
Good times. I was probably 12 or 13 years old.

Would be max leveled on DAoC if I wasnt like 8 when I first played that game lol
