Hollow Knight Hornet DLC first look on Valentine’s Day

Probably the pinnacle of Metroidvanias outside Symphony of the Night and Super Metroid. They’ve been teasing this for the longest time and we finally get to see what it looks like in 3 days.

havent played either. bout to buy that Cvania hd pack.
wasnt as good as Ori, I can tell you that much. Salt and Sanctuary isn't a true metroidvania (more emphasis on souls-like combat) but it was better than HK as well.

The setting of Ori (location, music, mood, etc.) was some of the best I have ever seen... ever. Absolutely loved that game and Will of the Wisps needs to come out ASAP

I liked it quite a bit more. More location variety, enemy variety, combat variety.
My main issue with HK is that it was too "samey." Got tired of the dark, dank nest and the combat after a while. It's not like I quit halfway through, I did everything except the very last pantheon.
I replay S&S every year, not sure I'll replay HK again. Guess S&S is more my cup of tea. Sure, it lacks HK's polish, but there's a certain charm about it.

It's a top 3 nintendo switch game. I love this game, and I'm a huge Metroid fan, but hollow knight is a better game than SM
