I bought all games on ps5 awhile back on sale and really enjoyed playing through the series. I went in blind and had never played the series before.

You can ultimately play the missions and levels from 1-2 in Hitman 3, but it’s confusing to figure out what all you need for all levels.

Be sure to check that out if you haven’t purchased all of them already.

I really enjoyed the gameplay and how the game didn’t take itself too seriously in regards to ways you can kill someone.

I have the entire series, i'm on the final mission. I have love the Hitman series. This one is way more stealth, and i am not a good stealth player. But it's amazing.

The Hitman series is a really unique gameplay experience and the latest trilogy of games (starting in 2016) is the best imo. Each level/map is designed to be played many times in order find and play out all the scenarios that are available to take out your targets...and you are rewarded for completing them with new gear, drop points etc.. You dont have to follow these scenarios either. You can develop your own strategy to perform you kills but the pre-scripted ones are often hilarious and fun to complete.

I liken it to a playing a film director that takes many shots until he is satisfied with the perfect one. Sneaking into a location, getting a disguise, performing your hit and getting out unseen as that awesome exfiltration music swells is one of my favorite moments in gaming.

I love the series and games (blood money GOAT) but i feel like with these newer ones there's absolutely no way of knowing what exactly to do without watching a walkthrough video or something on YouTube.

love the games. I can't remember which game it was in, but my favorite level was easily the big mansion that almost seemed like a direct predecessor to the movie "Knives Out"

Now that I'm done with Elden Ring, bored out of my mind with Valhalla, and trying to take a break from other FromSoft games, I think I might revisite the Hitman trilogy and try to platinum them.

I usually run a level with the mission story prompts set to minimal and just explore the map the first time taking mental notes of areas of interest. Then i 'll chart my own path through. That can take quite a while. I'll play out the scenarios I've found and whatever's left I cant find I'll turn on the mission story prompts to full and just track them that way.

The newer games do seem to take a LOT more patience to find all the story missions but you can usually chart your own path to taking out your targets that dont involve story missions per se.

this. it's not nearly as intuitive as it was with past games (like GOAT blood money). You pretty much have to follow the little menu prompts for a great deal of the story missions and opportunities. Some of the levels are just so sprawling and massive that it's too easy to overlook the minutia that would allow you to organically figure things out
