I take full responsibility for the actions of the clan, as their leader their actions are a direct reflection of me. Allow us yo take advatage of a thread of the day, and you will see the OT type banter cease. I recognize that we have faults, most of which pertain to situations where kids like HM get butthurt because we beat him so bad, and we come out like vultures to roadkill. However most of this can be remedied by a single thread and an everyone admin type atmosphere in policing ourselves. We will never be the OT, however we talk online while playing basically every single day, which will naturally make us talk more during the day, with TD being the place to do so.

I agree. However, I've seen a couple of threads where people had honest questions about the game. IMO, these are ok. They just seemed to get hijacked so easily by....nevermind...But those do not need to be eliminated. I like to find out what perk or killstreak works best on what maps and such.

I say there needs to be a TOTD (thanks Black), and any comments about the previous nights game, or something that happened in your game (even though not with a "board clan") can go into that thread. But to eliminate all other threads about the game is silly. Most of them have their place. Its just the nature of the beast.

I take it this "IMing" refers to things like IRL discussion and not just scattered thoughts about the game?

personally, i used to hang out on the OT, but that place is full of premadonnas and it got old. same story.
for the most part we stay on topic and discuss "gaming", which is why the board is here.
if we get off topic discussing a restaurant or a ball game, etc; it typically doesn't last much longer than a page or so.

however the flamers on this board get old - ala HM

We both agree that no policing is necessary and for the most part can agree to be concsious of the posting and not hijack threads or post stupid comments in threads that don't apply.
