Is that the best way to do this?
For me it's been soloing Trivials. I can usually snag 6-12 in a 10-minute(ish) run. What works best is to drop away from the target site. If I can position to be on one end of the map, the target in the middle-ish and the extraction on the other end, that means I'm likely to run into special sites along my route to do the mission.
Also, generally you will find at least one or two sites on the map edge away from the target.

I played a few missions this weekend, but I'm pretty tired of the devs ignoring the outstanding bugs (and I'm not talking about the Terminids
).
The loadout glitch still happens where it sets you to a default loadout when you first start playing. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.
The big deal to me is that the game/multiplayer is still crashing far too frequently. My game crashed ~30min into a mission once out of the ~5 missions I played and two other times I got the "allied destroyer has left the mission" message where my co-op partners just vanished into thin air. This is really inexcusable. Waste 30min just to have the game crash and send you back to the starting screen or trying to finish higher-level difficulties solo after your partners disappear and you can't call in new divers via the SOS beacon. The devs keep rolling out new weapons, stratagems, etc. yet they can't make the game actually work (pretty sure friend requesting is still mostly broken).
The playerbase is also becoming increasingly toxic and annoying. Whereas people mostly used to follow each other around based on where people would ping on the map, now it just seems like everyone scatters and does whatever they want. I've seen reports of more people getting randomly kicked and/or killed on purpose at extraction too.
With that said, I love where I'm at with a loadout. The Quasar Cannon was a great addition and helps take the place of the pre-nerf Railgun.
I just wish the devs would pause on releasing new content until they got the game in a more stable state
ETA: And don't get me started on major orders. Apparently there are hidden mechanics that the devs have only disclosed in Discord (they relate to supply lines or something that explain how the planets are connected and in which order you should try to liberate them?). Just a lot of BS from the devs right now.

I’m still running missions every night. Been following the flow of the major orders so I’ve been on bot planets lately.
2 new stratagems were added not too long ago. Quasar cannon and a heavy machine gun. Hmg is pretty meh but the cannon is god tier. Gets 10 second cooldown between shots (6 secs on cold planets) but you don’t have to worry about ammo or a backpack slot. Basically works like the Spartan laser from Halo.

This Reddit post explains it: Reddit Post
It affects the game because players may not be able to complete a Major Order if the planet on which the Major Order takes place becomes unavailable because supply lines were cut off. So in theory all players should be liberating planets in a specific order based on supply lines

I agree with most everything you said here. The game crashing is absolutely the biggest thing for me. When I spend 30+ minutes on a mission but crash or my teammates crash to where I can't finish it, disastrous for my morale.
And when I try to jump into higher level missions with people level four and five who just can't contribute, it's also unpleasant.

Yeah, and that's part of what's causing an increase in toxicity in the playerbase.
Some people think EVERYONE should be helping to achieve Major Orders, some people think they should be allowed to play however the hell they want (e.g., if I only want to fight bugs, I'm going to fight bugs, regardless of the Major Order), and then you have Creekers, and they apparently just want to do missions in Malevelon Creek regardless of anything else going on

I think the community agrees that part of the problem is that, for better or worse, there are a lot of differences between fighting robots vs. bugs (i.e., different loadouts work better depending on the enemy, you should approach missions differently depending on the enemy, etc.). Some people don't enjoy fighting bugs and vice versa.

Bugs go splat so they are more fun. What gun is everyone using? I'm using the the breaker incendiary for bugs and the slugger for bots. My best play comes from medium range with the slugger packing a punch. I may need to try a marksman rifle but the slugger is essentially that

Sickle has been my go to for both sides since it came out. Those 6 cells you get just never seem to run out.
quote:the diligence counter sniper? It’s terrible. Try it for yourself but you’ll be back to your main guns in no time. Would be better if it had armor penetration similar to the Slugger.

Agreed. Haven't used anything else since it came out.

Yo, I'm still playing. Slow grind. Up to level 30 playing periodically.

I use the sickle and thr quasar cannon with the shield backpack.
I never have need for my handgun.

Just about every night. I'm trying out a weapon I just unlocked (second to the last page in the regular section), but will probably go back to my incendiary breaker for bugs and the breaker for bots. I was using sickle, but for some reason I swapped out. After seeing the love it gets here I might have to try it out again.
I hadn't had a problem with disconnects until they had the issue with electricity based weapons kicking people out. They fixed that and things ran fine until late last week. I got booted a couple of times on Friday and maybe once yesterday.

I'll give the quasar and sickle a go. I'm just getting used to carrying a sentry around. I usually never
